Vote of No Confidence

Post by Nathan »

The current (non-YAMO) treaty stipulates that a vote of no confidence must be held to replace the Primate. I therefore regretfully motion for a vote of no confidence in the Primate of the SC. A vote of 50%+1 is required to remove the Primate from office. (since the amended general treaty does not alter this procedure there should be no concern if this vote straddles the passage of the general treaty amendment).

For Gralus, I vote AYE.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave. But he does deserve a cool war ribbon.

However, this account still manages:
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn - Speaker of Nelaga, Minister of Interior Affairs, and a Micron

Nelaga votes AYE, while also having no idea who the current Primate is.

A1 votes AYE in partial ignorance of what this means, but decides to conform anyway.

Erik, I'm pretty sure.

I retract my motion.

I was also slightly unsure about who was the Primate since on the old SC forum it looked like Max was Primate as well, hence my ambiguous motion :X

I would like to protest the retraction. Nobody seems 100% confident on who actually was the last Primate. If we're doing things by the book here, it would be prudent to make sure we stay the course.

Good idea. These are the regulations from the old board:
Voting Regulations
a. A vote is open for a maximum of 4 days.
b. If a vote reaches 50%+1 of all members in favor before the end of 4 days it passes.
c. If a vote reaches 50%+1 of at least 1/2 of all members by the end of 4 days it passes.
d. If these two conditions are not met, the vote fails.
Since this is not such a drastic measure as amending the General Membership treaty I believe this vote can follow these regulations. Therefore, since 4 nations have already voted, and by my count there are currently 8 SC members, all currently voting in favor, this vote will end tomorrow.

Right? :doc:
