MCS Claim

Post by Leon Gambetta »

I think it would be a bit premature to begin claiming on the MCS right now, but definitely I do not think it is too early to start considering the matter.

I think we should focus on providing significant cultural development and boost our post counts appropriately with politics, cultural development and other things so we are in a strong position to make a decently sized claim. (Note I said decent. The MCS has become too politicized and I hesitate in making big claims unless we have the wherewithal to back it up.)

I would tend to agree. I have not checked in on MCS lately, and all I've seen is the recent debate over rules. It makes me think we better have the Basic Law in place, the government in order, and a cultural foundation.

We should also consider where the claim should be placed, which also speaks to our history and culture.

One option to consider is to claim territory that was once owned by Ashkenatza. Claiming territory on Benecia would likely not make sense because you wouldn't flee a collapsing nation, only too stay there. However, there are the three overseas territories: Mala'eretz (Keltia), Mahoz HaSephardim (Eura), and Nordpunkt (Apollonia). The former two seem to be the best candidates, with the Mahoz being more Mediterranean, but also the more conflicted, and Mala'eretz being the more peaceful, but also more Cyberian (American) and Asian. So, as I said before, it comes down to our history and theme.

The map I made was actually made with territory in mind, and I even made a claim already:

Image
1.Titus Morvayne, Prefect of Shirekeep, Count of the Skyla Islands
2.Eki Aholibamah Verion, Queen in the North
3. Ludovic Verion, Lord of Blackstone and Governor-General of the Iron Company
4. Jeremy Harwinsson Archer, super sleuth

That is excellent. Where in Micras is that claim made? I can't tell where in the map it is.
