Map and Symbols of the Celestial Isles

The Celestial Isles are a small group of islands off the southern coast of Tapfer. Despite their diminutive size they have a stout population of hearty explorers and wise scholars.

Map and Symbols of the Celestial Isles

The island of Copernicus holds 90% of the population within the Celestial Isles and has been occupied since the days of the First Tapferite Empire. Although not shown on the map, in recent years the city of Nandaton has grown up around St. George Observatory, sidestepping the village of St. George as the largest city and capital of the islands. Scodland-Tresport is an industrial shipping center with a small population.

The four stars represent the four islands and their relative size to one-another. Halley, being the smallest and uninhabitable island, received the smallest star. The background is a dark purple representative of the Antarctic night sky as opposed to the black background of the national flag which is intended to represent space and/or a dark night sky.
