Re: Election [LP1]
(OOC: As was I, hence why I didn't close the nomination for another day, and am still proceeding with a vote. I wish to at least give people a chance if they have any second thoughts. Plus, we need to have some tradition going.)

Re: Election [LP1]
I understand. I did not intent beforehand to vote for a candidate because I was under the impression that there would be two participants, but since you are the only candidate now, I think I should say that I vote for you.

Re: Election [LP1]
(OOC: I'm probably going to take an LOA as I'm starting to get buried in finals for the next few weeks in addition to other IRL crap going on, so while I was initially keen on taking up LP, Amherst is more than qualified and I am not the best candidate given my time constraints at the moment.)

Congratulationes, Lord Amherst! Hail to the Lorde Protecktor, inheritor of the
responsibility of valiance and benevolence to the Brettish landes!
(Not to saye that I dysagreeth with the resulte of thys electione, as I wouldeth
casteth my vote for Lord Amherste sans doubte--but once again we seeth that
barrier to those of us who travel by horse and buggy! Twenty four hour voting
periodes doth be good for the Westminster Townies, but for those of us downe
the roade a bit, out in the Count-rie, it continueth to maketh thyngs difficulte.
Not to campaigneth, but, if elected Speaker, I wouldest increase the voting periode
to no lesse than 48 hours! And then the good count-rie gentlemen farmers
of Kent and the Islands will get to experienceth, for the first tyme, that new
fangled creation known as democrac-ie.)
