Asha = Tyre

Post by Trajan Myksos »

Jacks little crusader's adventure reminded me of an article I had read a long time ago about a state that existed before Aryasht claimed the region: Eblis.
It's interesting how several of the cities, including Asha, are located on places were before stood the crusaders' cities.

What I wanted to say: we could perhaps hold an expedition to the ruins of the city of Eblis and unravel the mysteries of its past? :wink:

Ah, yes, I remember that little exercise. Alukustan was my contribution to that effort.

I'm pretty sure I renamed Asha recently though I forgot to what.

Can't remember having seen anything written about that either.

Alukustan. Name was taken from Alamut (Alu Amut), the fortress of the Assassins. In Farsi it means Eagle (alu) Mountain (ku) Land (stan).

Also found this kicking about in my archives:

If we ever need to give a name to Flanders, we know where to look.

I think I intended to move the capital of Aryasht from Mahapur to Asha, renaming Asha Vijayapur or something.

You actually moved the capital to Asha. The city itself was developed mostly with Kildarian aid (as a dowry for the royal marriage between Flavius Myksos and the princess of Aryasht, if I'm not mistaking), which explains why it has/had so many typical Audente architectural constructions.
However, I can't remember that you renamed it.
