Question on gender

Post by Vilhelm Benkern »

Are hijras or a similar group of people known to Aryashti society and culture? What is their status?

I know about hijras yes, but I haven't given them much thought but I see no reason for them not to exist. Traditionally their status was not high though some made it big as courtesans.
