O mankind, what despair you dwell in every day!
Every day, you feel a disquiet
A disquiet that underlies all phenomenon
You are alive, but you do not live
Your eyes are open, but you do not see
Your ears are open, but you do not hear
I am here and there, in this and that
A thousand rays of light emanating
From the same source
A face with infinite masks

O Divinity! Love of mine
I've drunk the wine
I'm just fine
I've drunk the wine
I'm just fine

Re: Mystical Poetry from Khoda
Glad you've included the provenance in the second stanza. Good stuff.

Re: Mystical Poetry from Khoda
Light comes from light,
Darkness from Darkness
Those who start on the right path
Will be guided further along it
Those who are distant from it
Will be led farther astray
Like a snowball set in motion
Grows bigger as it traverses downhill
As the fruits of one's karma
Lead to more karma
Down the road in one direction
Ever faster and faster
The straight path is the path of goodness
The righteous go forth on it
Unwavering as it becomes a habit
Strengthened, fortified, cultivated
Turn aside from weariness and walk on it
Lest like someone chained to a rock, you sink further down
Let prayer cut off the chains
Subsequently, let action hasten you towards the path
Contemplate and do, pray and work
One as a compass pointing in the right direction
The other as the engine that gets you there
Darkness comes from Darkness
Light comes from light
Darkness can banish the light
Light can banish the darkness
Darkness and light are flip sides of the coin
Which side will be up and which will be down?
When the double edged sword swings,
will you swing with the razor of light or the blade of darkness?

Whether you turn your head east or west,
There you shall see divinity
All the faces of the holy spirit
In every iota of my existence
Pervades the sacred
Every breath is the mystery
Every glance a revelation
There you shall see divinity
All the faces of the holy spirit
In every iota of my existence
Pervades the sacred
Every breath is the mystery
Every glance a revelation

But a single glance
Was enough
To penetrate my heart
And reduce me to cinders
Was enough
To penetrate my heart
And reduce me to cinders

In battle those who love death more than life will triumph
But as for those who love life more than death, they will triumph in peace.
But as for those who love life more than death, they will triumph in peace.

The sun is shining
The water is flowing
The wind is blowing
The fire is burning
Rain is falling
Plants are growing
Yes, my eyes are seeing
The water is flowing
The wind is blowing
The fire is burning
Rain is falling
Plants are growing
Yes, my eyes are seeing

Lo! They say: "we believe."
Some do, some do not.
But it matters not.
You are never alone in your thoughts
Since he is hidden therein as well
For some, they only do deeds
For faith has not entered their hearts
But if you do good deeds, none shall diminish them
Whether or not you belief
Rather your efforts will be compounded
Like a snowball that rolls downhill, getting bigger
Deeds will lead to faith
Faith in humanity
In life
In the world
In the mystery behind the world
Some do, some do not.
But it matters not.
You are never alone in your thoughts
Since he is hidden therein as well
For some, they only do deeds
For faith has not entered their hearts
But if you do good deeds, none shall diminish them

Faith in humanity
In life
In the world
In the mystery behind the world

The divine exists in all that is, was, and will be
There is a spark of it in every droplet
In every seed, in every flower
It is on every breath and is carried by the winds
It flows through all rivers, all seas
It radiates through every ray of light
Its presence is in every sorrow and triumph
It is at the depth of every being’s soul
There is a spark of it in every droplet
In every seed, in every flower
It is on every breath and is carried by the winds
It flows through all rivers, all seas
It radiates through every ray of light
Its presence is in every sorrow and triumph
It is at the depth of every being’s soul
