Prayer to the Heavenly Light

Post by Hadrian Myksos »

During the period of the Jingdaoese Grand Holy Empire people began more frequently using prayers at the start of their work day, during a school assembly, etc.
The prayer to the Heavenly Light confirms the belief that the Heavenly Light will guide the Jingdaoese people through even the darkest times that lie before us.

The prayer is repeated for over ten minutes, often while they bow before a statue or portrait of one of the Emperors (this can be the current one or one of those from the past, as they symbolise the One Soul of the Nation).

"The Heavenly Light guides us. The Heavenly Light teaches us. The Heavenly Light protects us. In Your Light we thrive. In Your mercy we are sheltered. In Your wisdom we are humbled. We live to serve You. Our life belongs to You."

It's a short prayer which should be repeated at least three times a day (before certain actions like supper, etc.) too. :doc:
