Heavenly Light

A young man walking past Attera's coast,
old women in Daocheng's narrow streets,
a soldier, on his barren northern post
or young children who sail through life with ease.

They all look up to heaven, and behold
what man has known for ever, longer still.
The greatest story that was ever told
Echoes through the ages, loud or shrill.

And do the people wandering Micras know
the rays of sun, how wond'rous they might be,
are merely Heaven's perfect way to show
The path of purity, to all of those who see.

Far greater than the radiant light of day,
Far greater than that vast, explosive star,
Yes greater than that burning, golden ray
Is He, with whom all earthly powers are.

A light from Heaven sent to Micras end
The light of stars and sun so far exeeds
The Heavenly Light, to whom our knees are bent.
He is our Emperor, our King, whose call we heed.
