Response to Pure Nafticon's Review of "The Bank of Micras"
    (http://purenafticon.blogspot.com/2013/0 ... icras.html)
by Giles Melang, BA, PhD, JD

Recently Pure Nafticon reviewed the Bank of Micras banking
system. Its conclusion that it was a "waste of time" with "no
real innovations" and "no real motivation." It also wrote that its
use of PHPbank was disappointing. Well, I would like to disagree
with the blog's conclusion and state that the Bank of Micras is
a reasonable alternative to the SCUE Bank.

Firstly, the fact that the Bank of Micras uses phpBank should not
be a problem if they are using the most current version of the
software. Once phpBank had serious security problems. Basic
error and security checks were not in place. This version unfortunately
proliferated. Hackers took advantage. Fortunes were lost. And
then the authors, Sander Dieleman was one, fixed the problems
in a new version. There were now no more security breaches. This
version should be as secure as the SCUE bank.

Secondly, the fact that the Bank of Micras does not divide accounts
up by nation and subdivision should not be a functional problem. Yes,
it means that each nation's Treasury Minister will have to do more work,
by taking taxes from each account individually, for instance, or keeping
a list of which accounts are companies and which ones are not, for example,
but the bank still accomplishes the purpose of maintaining accounts.

Thirdly, the button that allows users to purchase units is
a superlative innovation. This development, though it has risks,
    is a mostly positive one.

Fourthly, Luc van den Braende's announcement that he wishes to break
the power of the SCUE bank is a good thing. We need more competition
in economics. Currently the SCUE bank will remain the Primary Bank of
my corporate enterprises and the bank which I advise governments to use
chiefly, but it is also in my advice that we should always be open to
alternatives and a nation should not write into their laws that they must
absolutely use the SCUE bank 100% of the time. That is because of the
possibility that, for example, a good alternative comes along and truly
takes off and becomes a secondary option to the SCUE bank that can
    be used side-by-side with it.

My verdict is positive, and I will be contacting Luc van den Braende
    about opening a test account/

You know that post dates back from July, do you?

Verdict: not only wasted Lux a bit of his time with it, you just did to with writing such a long, needless post.

The above editorial, is, as with everything I write, timeless in its essence,
because I have both a PhD and a JD, courtesy of the fine universities of
    Shireroth.

If somebody wants the code just PM

And yes, Bank of Micras wasn't a success, because of hosting and time problems, not a bad codeing.
