Military Forces

Fellow Musicans,

Although I am not a warmonger by inclination, recent events should remind us that we inhabit a very dangerous world...and would do well to look to our own security

I believe we need to significantly increase our military capabilities. Our existing naval forces are compromised of old, obsolete vessels...some little more than museum pieces; new constructions are long overdue. Similarly, our land forces are at present inadequate and are our air defences all but non-existent.

The United Kingdom is already planning a further round of military expansion in concert with friendly entities overseas and I feel this is an opportune moment to raise this issue with you. We cannot afford to waste any more time...
