Declaration of Assumption of Government

Post by Armin Jamal-Arminzadeh »

STATEMENT DECLARING THE ASSUMPTION OF GOVERNMENT

We, Armin Jamal-Arminzadeh, President of the Senate of the Elwynnese Republic, and Karmen Joonai, Vice President of the Congress of the Elwynnese Republic, note with great sadness and anguish the terrorist bombings in Eliria which caused the legislature to be unable to meet. We further note the absence of the Prince at this time, as he is unable to return to Elwynn due to the hostilities invoked by the Alalehzamini regime.

To protect the Elwynnese nation, its republic and people, we take firm action by constituting a temporary government. The Senate and Congress are unable to meet, the Prince unable to attend to business of government and having been unable to name a Steward. Accordingly, as among the highest ranking officers in the Elwynnese Republic, we name ourselves Conducators of the Elwynnese Republic, in so much that decisions must be taken, the government must stay running, so that the Elwynnese Government remains stable.

As such, we assume upon ourselves the powers of the Prince, in accordance with the Constitution of the Elwynnese Republic, Chapter IV, section 10, and call upon all lawful public bodies, citizens, denizens and others to recognize the authority of the Conducators of the Elwynnese Republic until the safe return of His Serenity the Prince.

Eliria, 24.6.1660.
