BY THE POWER OF YAANEK!

IN THE NAME OF ELWYNN, THE WHITE ORCHID LADY, WHO LOOKS UPON HER NAMESAKE REALM WITH AFFECTION, AND IN WHOSE NAME KING THORSTEIN NOAH RULES, HE OF LONG LOST VALTIA AND THE LADY OF THE VANIR, AND HIS HEIRS AND SUCCESSORS OF HIS BLOOD IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW AFTER THAT; AND IN THE NAMES OF ALL THE GODS AND GODDESSES AND GODLINGS OF ELUIN AND SXIRO, OF MORS THE STERN AND TERRIBLE, OF ZURVAN FULL OF FIRE, OF TRUTH AND BEAUTY COLD AND CLEAR, OF BOUS THE BENEVOLENT BUTTERY BOVINE, OF FRIGGA THE FAIR AND ALL-KNOWING, OF FREYJA FULL OF LOVE AND COMPASSION, AND IDUNN OF THE MAGIC APPLES. A ROYAL DECREE

MARRIAGE OF PRINCESS LIV AND DANIEL DRAVOT


WHEREAS a Petition was presented unto Us by the Family Council of Our House of Orchids subsequent to a meeting of its members in the Viruja Chamber of Castle Islàn in the Old Harbour of the Royal City of Hyfrost which had been convened to discuss the matter of the validity under Elwynnese Law of the marriage between the Princess Liv and Generalmajor Daniel Dravot who had the impudence to marry without Our Leave or Knowledge which displeased Us beyond imagination;

AND WHEREAS it was established by the Family Council during its deliberations that the aforesaid marriage does not meet several requirements; which are laid down in Article 6 of the Royal Decree of 12 Rugaall 1630: Matrimonial Parting of Ways concerns arose that the newly-weds in future could run into various legal and social woes and troubles within the Joijnie d'l'Elwyjn such as lawsuits and angry mobs.

AND WHEREAS in the Petition aforesaid We were humbly prayed to forgive the Princess Liv and Generalmajor Daniel Dravot to allow them their matrimonial happiness given how much Princess Liv has gone through already as well as issue a Royal Decree legitimizing the nuptials of the couple aforesaid to secure those newlyweds some peace of mind;

AND WHEREAS the Matron and Sacred Queen of the Joijnie d'l'Elwyjn, Her Most Sacred Majesty the Lady Elwynn Kwendia Eiseamlars- og Spedomhainsdóttir of Mount Yaanek and the Tower of Araxion - who has taken pity upon the Princess Liv after learning from Her Royal Highness's desperate Petition at the Elwynnese-Goldshirean border called Wandering Bride - has, firmly but affectionately, required Us to, even before We got round to reviewing of the particulars of the matter brought before Us, immediately grant the aforesaid Petition for She wishes to secure some peace of mind for Princess Liv who has already gone through plenty of trouble and misery;

1. Upon the coming into effect of this Our Royal Decree, Our Royal Riverine Forgiveness shall be extended to Her Riverine Highness Princess Liv of Alvýnalann and Generalmajor Daniel Dravot concerning their faux pas protocolaire of marrying without Our Leave of Knowlwedge.

2. It is hereby decreed that, upon the coming into effect of this Our Royal Decree, the nuptials of Her Riverine Highness Princess Liv of Alvýnalann and Generalmajor Daniel Dravot shall, in consequence of being a matrimonial union betwixt a royal and commoner, for all intents and purposes under the Law of the Flower of the North be recognized as a morganatic marriage.

3. The White Orchid Throne shall be free to issue all the further rules, regulations, policies and instruments it deems necessary or expedient to carry the provisions of this Our Royal Instrument into effect, or to clarify the same, or to deal with any and all matters that arise concerning this Our Royal Instrument.

4. This Our Royal Decree shall come into effect immediately.
