This is the Coat of Arms of the Kingly City of Eliria.
The Shield
The shield features a golden lyre on a blue field, all within a red indented bordure.
The golden lyre* represents the magical lyre of the founder of Eliria, the legendary Elfinshi Lady Tlygowa the Lyrist; the indented bordure represents Eliria's violent, complex and often chaotic history; the colour blue represents the River Elwynn which flows through Eliria; and the colour red symblolizes the blood that was shed in Eliria throughout history.
The Supporters
The supporters are two white stags, both gorged with a gold crown with a chain of gold.
The white stag is a well-known symbol for Elwynn, of which Eliria is since ancient times the capital; the golden crown with a chain of gold symbolizes the Sovereign Power of the Prince, who has his seat in Eliria, which is kept in check by the constitution and the charter.
The Crown
The crown is a Storish Storjarl crown.
The present ruler of Elwynn, King Noah, is entitled to such crown as member of the Imperial Branch of the House of Ettlingar Freyu.
The Compartment
The Compartment is a green field strewn with white orchids.
The white orchid is another well-known symbol for the Lands of Elwynn. The green field represents the fertile lands which surround Eliria.
The Motto Scroll
On the white motto scroll is written with red letters the motto of the Kingly City of Eliria: Risen from the ashes, over and over again.
The white symbolizes purity as well as the Goddess Elwynn and the colour red denotes that Eliria's history is written in blood.
* The word "Eliria" is derived from the Elw placename enu elirion, "place of lyres".
