[Product] Panservogn Mk. 1 Jernhest "Iron Steed"

Partially state owned heavy and defense industrial company. Need obscenely over-sized and weaponized equipment? Dverghallen has it! Requests are to be made in the Chairman's Office.

Track Specifications -
All-Terrain High Surface Area/High Traction continuous passive tracking
Internally housed 70 degree road wheel suspension

Armour Specifications -
The armour of the Mk. 1 is a complex composite Armour consisting a 25mm homogeneous
steel outer layer that is reinforced with a Silicon Carbide substrate.

The SiC substrate is constructed of 2 layers 10 centimeter hexagonal plates with a thickness of 12.5mm. The two layers of plates are constructed so that the plates overlap at the center point, creating a ceramic substrate weave. The ceramic substrate is held together under tension by a Tungsten Carbide matrix and then sealed in high-strength epoxy. This Armour sheet is then bolted onto the outer steel shell. The exposed back of the SiC-WC-Epoxy sheet is then encased in a 12.5mm sheet of homogeneous steel.

The frontal areas of the hull, surrounding the pilot compartment, and the turret have epoxied layers of Kevlar on the interior to reduce excessive spalling in case of impact or penetration. Additionally, critical areas are outfitted with external Armour units. These units are either 25mm homogeneous steel plates or Explosive Reactive Armour matrices.

Atmospheric Control -
The interior of the Mk. 1 is Chemical-Radiological-Biological-Nuclear/HEPA certified. In the event of extreme dust or CRBN hazards, the CRBN-HEPA system can be engaged to prevent contamination of the tank interior. The engine is also equipped with an ultra-high CFM HEPA filter to prevent contamination of internal engine parts.

Countermeasure Systems -
The Mk. 1 can be equipped with numerous anti-tank countermeasures. The Mk. 1 can also be equipped with the Seier Electro-Optical Projectile Disruption system (EOPD) and the Seier Early Warning Laser System (EWLS). A Seier Chaff Jamming Countermeasure System (CJCS) can also be installed to counter electronic threats. On the undercarriage of the tank an Anti-Mine Degaussing System (AMDS) can be installed to handle anti-tank mines on the ground.

EOPD -
The Electro-Optical Projectile Disruption system is an anti-tank missile countermeasure. The EOPD is a radiation dazzler which causes IR, UV and heat seeking missiles to detonate early or lose their guidance path by overloading their sensors.

EWLS -
The Early Warning Laser System is an optical laser receiver which alerts crew members when the tank is targeted or “painted” by a laser guidance system or rangefinder. The EWLS is directly tied into the EOPD to activate the EOPD so that the threat can be neutralized.

CJCS -
The Chaff Jamming Countermeasure System uses a long rang broad frequency jamming system to disable electronic guidance and communication systems. The classified Mobile Unit Communication frequency is left unjammed.

AMDS -
The Anti-Mine Degaussing System uses a large degaussing array to disable magnetic anti-tank land mines which might be planted on the ground. The sudden degaussing of the mines causes them to stop functioning either permanently or until the degaussing field as passed on (along with the tank itself).

Ammunition -
The 155mm main gun is custom made for the Mk. 1. Capable of firing a variety of ammunition, it is a versatile weapon with longevity and offensive power in mind. The main gun is capable of firing the following ammunition -

HV-KEP – The High Velocity-Kinetic Energy Penetration round employs the use of a 155mm sabot encasing a 30mm Tungsten Carbide projectile. The sabot is discarded by breaking apart caused by air resistance almost instantly after leaving the bore. This allows the penetration projectile to reach velocities between 970 to 1,000 m/s.

HEAT3 – High Explosive Anti-Tank Triple Tandem rounds are a more traditional style of ammunition. Using a shape-charge shell, it relies on directed explosive power and molten metal jet streams to penetrate basic metal armors. However, its tandem design allows it to defeat explosive reactive Armour.

RAKEP – The Rocket Assisted Kinetic Penetration round functions in much the same way as the HV-KEP, except that upon discarding the sabot, a small rocket motor engages to further increase the velocity of the penetration projectile to around 1,700 m/s.
