NS Chatham Ramps Up Production

Construction efforts have been doubled at Naval Station Chatham in response to increased military threats from abroad. Utilizing support from a growth in local industry, and from Batavian industrial partnership, the number of ships being produced has grown two-fold. As the eastern extension of Jingdao's territory, Norfolk considers itself a primary target for a first strike invasion, and thus it has been made a priority to significantly increase our defense of the islands. While the HMS Black Dragon has been refitted and is now seaworthy, it is not possible for the Norfolkian fleet to support more battleships, thus support vessels have been the primary focus of construction. Emphasis has been placed on submarine construction, as these can support the Imperial Capitol, and can also be used to secure a frontline defense against any attacking fleet. Other support vessels include frigates, cruisers, and destroyers.

In addition to warships, the government has increased training and recruitment of the Melangian EEULS, who have proven to be a valuable asset to our navy. Their unique abilities allowing them increased movement and breathing underwater make them a very important aspect of our navy, and indispensable in any battle. As the Melangians are adaptable to both land and water, they can provide a superior defense on every front. Of course, they will also be supported by our more traditional Marines and other naval officers, the good old stock of hardy seamen that call themselves Norfolkians. The Republic has survived countless other wars, and pushed numerous enemies back into the sea. With a strong navy such as ours, there is no reason to expect any less!

I like this. I really like this. :D

So, your ships use 'HMS' and not HLS (Heavenly Light's Ship)?

Heavenly Majesty's Ship. It's easier for me to remember. :p

As long as nobody forgets the 'Heavenly'-part, I'm not complaining. =p
