Passing Through

Approaching from some unknown destination in the east, a tri-engine seaplane conspicuously painted in white and black with the words D-CATO painted on its tail fins approached the Archipelago of the Norfolk Isles. A commercial aircraft carrying specialist cargo it radioed Jingdao's airspace control authorities, not long after appearing on their radar screens, with confirmation of its previously notified flight-plan. It's destination was non-other than Arvidsborg itself, on the Island of Gong.

No-one could say whether the pilots and crew of that aircraft felt any twinge of anxiety as they waited for confirmation to their authorization to enter the maritime borders of Jingdao airspace, still less could the feelings of the cargo they carried be accurately gauged.

An official at the Arvidsborg Air Traffic Control Center in the harbour of Arvidsborg notified commander Yamamoto Chūichi of the Second World Center Battle Group that a foreign air plane had requested entrance into the airspace. After the commander gave his approval, the official welcomed D-CATO to Jingdao: "May the Heavenly Light shine on you always, and may you never stray off the Path of Purity."

Two Raaf jet fighters scrambled to monitor the foreign air plane while it passed through Jingdaoese airspace.

In the Imperial Palace of Pua, Emperor Mordechai III was informed that a guest to the Empire might be arriving and that Jing Xing III was prepared to welcome him.
