Greetings!
At the moment, the Lord General is somewhat busy dealing with an attempted coup, but invites you to make yourself at home in any of our diplomatic facilities that are not located in Shelsa or Storyash. He'll be with you as soon as he can.
Kind Regards,
Jane Ogilive

The Tokish Government recommends the relative safety of Rielrar (the Bay of Eminence is a bit stormy, but the capital city is very well defended), or alternatively Hamuji or Cride depending on your preference for warmer or colder climate, respectively.

OOC: Corey, you should probably handle any actual diplomatic stuff from now on, as it'll end up Toketi, not Gralus, doing stuff in the future. For people who actually want to negotiate treaties etc.

Alternatively, you can give me a position in the post-Gralan government and make me stay responsible for it - up to you.

If you're intending to stick around, that would be stellar. My ability to handle foreign affairs is notably lacking.

I see no reason to leave, so happy to do foreign affairs . I'll just have to work out whether I create a Tokish character or not, we'll see how Gralus ends.

Why not one of your extant characters?
Speaking of, I wonder what they're all up to these days...

Waldgrave is currently managing the crisis from a Triumvirate perspective. Manuel is quietly working out if he can profitably expand into Kildare, since it looks like the Gralan market is going to be a challenge for a while. Q - not sure about Q. Probably has his head too deep in his work to even notice anything is going on. Mel'Kat is trying to fix everything up, along with Analis. Cla'Udi is worrying about what the ANOVA is doing in Melangia. And Vur'Alm ... I can't remember what Vur'Alm is doing these days.

But they may all not be particularly good for foreign affairs for a post Gralan government. Unless you want Manuel running your foreign affairs. That could be hilarious, actually - foreign affairs handled by the CEO of one of the world's largest multinationals ...

I need a story reason, though; Vur'Alm doesn't have much reason to be doing anything much at the moment.

Regardless, it would probably be more fitting to have a Novatainian or Toketin character in such a position, extant or otherwise.

He could use another government job now that Nelaga's gone bust?Andreas the Wise wrote:I need a story reason, though; Vur'Alm doesn't have much reason to be doing anything much at the moment.

Yeah. We'll see what happens with Waldgrave, unless you like the idea of VBNC's Manuel running foreign affairs.Kaarrin Isselkaan wrote:Regardless, it would probably be more fitting to have a Novatainian or Toketin character in such a position, extant or otherwise.

Manuel might be a bit...I don't know what he is, but it might become inconvenient. Waldgrave (or some subordinate of his or another) would be the logical choice, but as long as you can play it out with enough gusto to entertain yourself thoroughly, I'll leave it ultimately up to you.

Re: Greetings from Safiria
Yeah, Manuel would be fun, but you would get a very biased view of foreign policy (on the plus side, it would give me an obvious actual opinion IC on foreign policy ...), so Waldgrave is probably better.

I could have Captain Jack take it up, assuming he survives.

Probably also depends on which of you or I is more interested in the actual foreign affairs side, OOC, too.
