Victory Coalition? I didn't read anything about that in the rulebook I found. It's either one country wins, or we all decide on a draw.

There must be something about coalition victories somewhere. We keep using it to conclude most of our games.

If you ask me, it's a rather unfair way to end the game. I'm willing to settle for a draw, but to assert that Germany gets to call itself a 'winner' is somewhat of a slap in my face.

EDIT: Here's the rulebook I've been using:

EDIT: AH THIS IS AN OUTRAGE
Sorry. I felt like I needed to channel the rage that apparently fills my soul into a different thread.

Good point.

I'll agree to a draw. Based on how things are, even if we continued, it was going to end up a stalemate anyway.

I kinda thought people just stopped playing after 3-4 players were eliminated / permanently AWOL.

The games tend to grind to a halt- like Youngstown, Japan and Doucheland were the two massive powers. It could have been fun for us to fight to the end, but also long and slow and boring for everyone else. Since this is a game of Diplomacy, I think its more interesting if they don't all end in draws. Since this ain't part of a league anyway it's not really anything to q_q about.

We were going to start a league at one point, but it never really gets going.

I suggest the following winners: Turkey, Italy, Russia. Since they are the only ones still left in the game sorta kinda...

I was going to insert a video of the Black Knight's line "Alright, we'll call it a draw," from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but apparently, nobody on the internet has thought to make a video of just that single line. Internet, I am disappoint.

Britain is more of a winner than Russia though. If there's a draw, it should be between the Turkey-Italy alliance and the Britain-Russia alliance.

Problem is that England quit. I'm against quitters being winners.

That's fair enough, Malliki. But sometimes you can do jack shit and still be a "winner." Like France after World War 2. Got defeated yet got an occupation zone and a security council seat.

Vichy didn't. The Free French were technically rebels against their legitimate government.

Vichy France was replaced... by the people who kept fighting, and those people got that occupation zone.
