JASO Funding

Minister Aryeztur,

On behalf of the Space Exploration Conference ongoing
in Yardistan, I would be honored if you could assist the
Conference, in particular, JASO, in securing funding for
projects of the Conference, of which JASO will be an
active, participating organization. The funding should,
I estimate, range in the thousands of Erb. Vur'Alm
(using the account Andreas the Wise) and I are both
suitable "contact persons" from whom you can request
information about matter such as, for example, how
much money is needed from you for a particular project,
etc. (If you recall, Nelaga was home to JASO and Nelaga's
Ministry of Greed's treasury was added to the Shirerithian
treasury as per the bilateral agreement which went into
effect upon Nelaga's dissolution as a state.)

Furthermore we would like to ask if you do not mind to
serve as a financial oversight monitor over the Conference,
to provide assurance to its participants that the finances
of the Conference are being handled in a manner that is
consistent with Shirerithian and international laws pertaining
to money and business transactions. We understand that
this would be an additional amount of workload for you and
as such I can propose that a fee be paid directly to the Ministry
of Trade to cover any additional expenses you may incur.

We would greatly appreciate your assistance on this point
as we know that you are highly capable and have the ear
of the Kaiser on such important matters of state as funding
scientific exploration to the reaches of our solar system
and beyond. Shireroth is not the only nation in this Conference
but the headquarters for the future Joint Space Command
will be based in Yardistan which is a part of Shireroth and
JASO is also a part of Shireroth now. One need only imagine
what a successful lunar landing or base on Momiji could do
for the public psyche in Shireroth. Without a doubt it would
enhance the Kaiser's reign and perhaps it could inspire a new
wave of patriotism and support for national objectives.

Well, I didn't have anything malicious in mind. If it pleases the Kaiser, another person can be appointed by him to take my place.

I will not make appointments from a sea of apathetic individuals (a curse which has afflicted this Ministry more than others throughout history). Nor will the House of Melanje be getting its grandiose paws anywhere near the Imperial coffers.

However I will entertain a good, solid plan whose projected and itemised cost is laid out in advance with cold, hard numbers - rather than committing Imperial funds to a vague 'estimation' no clearer than four digits, which would in effect be affixing my Mango Cipher to a blank cheque. Other potential contributors would be due the same courtesy.

I will leave it to the participants themselves to assemble this information.

officer and money man for our projects
and therefore I think he could best serve

I can certainly run the bank transactions once MESO has decided and publicly stated where appropriate funding should be directed.

It is no major need, but with a new Kaiser in power
perhaps Aryeztur we should try to get some of the
old JASO funds unlocked for us to use again?

I should resign from this ministry, for which I have not done anything and for which there is usually not much to do.
