Mission accomplished. In celebration, I am going to sit in the garden and drink a bucket of Pimm's. That I was going to do this anyway is entirely incidental and besides the point...

The Kingdom of Ransenar
  • Capital: Goldfield / Goldshire Hamlet
  • Polity: Royal Republic (Kaiser as a total powerless figurehead, elected Lord High Steward that acts as the powerful head of government, popularly elected legislature, dominated by IDP)
  • Ruling Body: Congress of Ransenar
  • Ideologies:
    • Aldricism
    • Ransenari independence and supremacy in their own state
  • Parties: de facto Single-party state: Imperial Democratic Party (high levels of support from the people)
  • Defence Force: Ransenari Defense Force, People's Militias
  • Territories claimed, and under full control:
    • Ran
    • Parts of Ynnraile (Tyrelwynn and Teldrin)
  • Territories claimed, without control:
    • Elsenar
  • Strengths:
    • Strong control over Ran, extremely popular regime;
    • Strong agricultural community makes the Kingdom resilient, economic ties with Shirekeep, Alduria (purchases large quantities of foodstuffs);
    • Coastal defense infrastructure and large shipbuilding industry inherited from King Ryker's reign;
    • Highly motivated defense forces make up for sub-par discipline and organization;
    • Retained the Kaiser as figurehead King.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Economy heavily dependent on agriculture and exports to Shirekeep and Alduria;
    • No naval force to speak of;
    • High rates of illiteracy and alcoholism.
  • Relations:
    • Elwynn: Neutral;
    • Iron Company controlled territories, Verionist IRS: Hostile, due to conflicting claims of control on Elsenar;
    • Shirekeep: Friendly;
    • Sovereign Confederation: Friendly;
    • United Protectorates: Friendly;
    • Guttuli Protectorate: Neutral;
    • Other vultures: Generally neutral, friendly if vulture is a member of the Raspur Pact.
    • Raspur Pact: Wishes to be a candidate for admission in exchange for development aid and military help to secure Elsenar.

I had been under the impression that both of those claims were dead, considering that is how they are listed in the Vulture States page.

Overlapping is permitted. It is what the fetching stripes are for. Play on.

I understand the confusion, note that I did not make that addition to the Micras wiki.

I understand. But I also know that was done when there was absolutely no work (until now) or wiki activity to render that claim as legitimate, hence why everyone thought it was dead. It's the same thing that happened with Yardistan.

As far as anyone could discern - the "Earldom of Elsenar" had collapsed and been subsumed into a vague verionist partisanship that was either manifested in favour of the Iron Company or the Anti-Kaiser depending on what was expedient. :wink:

It's listed as "Notably Dead" on the wiki and has been for weeks.
