Made an update:

Image
(previous version can be found here)

-Changed the colour of Yardistan to something less eye-ripping
-Added Neo-Amokolia Vulture
-Vulturised New Blackstone (Black Legions & Neo-Amokolia)
-Added Risorgimento Tellia
-Added some Black Legion occupation areas in Mishalan, Ketekgorod (Inner Benacia), and the corner of Malarboria, mostly to see what it looks like but also so show the Black Legions moving to extricate the last ex-Imperial garrison from around Bagegeniśort (Stonetree) and starting to push the Imperials out of Mishalan and what remains of Malarboria.

Question now is - how much of what remains gets the fetching diagonal-green stripes treatment?

Well, the remnants of Malarboria look downright unmanageable. I imagine that, given a large power vacuum, Demonsfall would act as a hub for all manner of aspiring warlords (and I recall that I just so happened to give Ynnraile the most offense-oriented military loadout as well as an industrial wood-gas production facility), so I suspect a large ink-splotch around there as well.

Surely Trans-Elwynn would remain under Alalehzamini control? Which would leave the imperial territories west of it and Tellia (the Gloomsburg area) without any effective control... ready to be grabbed by the statelets/states around it?

And Elwynn and the Black Legions have agreed on a settlement on the south of Elwynn, thus:

1) Alalehzamin being an autonomous republic within Elwynn is permitted to maintain its own democratic institutions, governing system, security services
2) The Black Legions offers its assistance in transforming the Imperial Garrison in Elwynn into the reformed Union Defence Force
3) The Black Legion will support the expulsion of Boreal clans from Cape Farewell and Cimmeria
4) In return the Black Legions will be permitted to recruit and maintain bases in Alalehzamin
5) The Black Legions will support Elwynn against any attempt by the Kaiser to reassert hegemony over the country in return for Elwynn's joining the Raspur Pact

So can we remove the ugly white-black stripes there plz....?

Present attitude of the Raspur Pact, summarised quickly:

Although initially alarmed by the rapid collapse of the Imperial Republic, Benacia Command was able to swiftly establish lines of communication with most of the so-called "vulture states" whose regimes had successfully usurped Imperial authority in the provinces. In all but a couple of instances it proved possible to come to mutually beneficial arrangements that allowed the forces which had remained loyal to the Pact to remain in operation whilst offering various levels of support (logistical, training, command and control, interventions) to the vultures in return.

In the absence of explicit instructions from the Permanent Commission and Joint Military Council, the Pact's policy towards the "vulture states" is being set by Benacia Command itself.
  • Tier 1 - Inherited Pact Membership / Full Support
    • Elwynnese Republic
    • Bovic Kingdom of Drak-Modan
    • Imperial Republic of Shireroth
    • Sovereign Confederation of Suthergold and Norestria
    • Unified Governorates of Benacia
  • Tier 2 - Reciprocal Support
    • Kingdom of Amokolia (Pro-Natopian. Possible Tier 1 in future)
    • Elsenar (Iron Company. Possible Tier 1 in future)
    • Democratic Federation of Sanilla and Amarra ("arms for oil" deal with Black Legions)
  • Tier 2.1 - Precarious Neutrality
    • Tellian Confederation (occupation of the Mandate and claims in Malarboria could complicate lines of communication and supply between the Black Legions and Amarr & Drak-Modan to the east)
  • Tier 3 - Repudiated Pact Membership / Blockade, Embargo, and Sanctions
    • Republic of Yardistan (on account of the Sagittarius Incident and in support of Drak-Modan claims on So-Sara)
    • Boreal Kingdoms (Raikoth and Leng)
  • Tier 4 - Hostile to the Pact / Open Warfare
    • Republic of Inner Benacia (The only good Laqi is a thrice burnt Laqi...)
    • Boreal Kingdoms (Upholding Elwynnese claims to Cimmeria and Cape Farewell)

Updates:
  • Vulture capitals added;
  • Elwynn updated;
  • Drak-Modan updated;
  • End of subsidised provision of energy and food, combined with Boreal raiding, results in abandonment of improbable mega-cities in the high arctic regions;
  • Regions under no overall control:
    • Rump Malarboria - Rogue Lord Lieutenant supported by local constabulary and ex-Imperials opposed to the Black Legions;
    • Angularis - Peasants' Revolt;
    • Highpass - Peasants' Revolt;
    • Shimmerspring - Off-brand Deep-Singer Biomancer Uprising;
    • Caverden - Cultists sacrificed the Governor and his children at shrines made out of the parts of broken machines;
    • Musica, Monty Crisco and Alexandretta - The Riverine Army, the last extant formation of the Imperial Army aside from the Palatini Corps in Shirekeep, has repudiated Imperial authority - having gone unpaid for months - and taken up piracy as the only sensible way of making a living left open to them;
    • Lunaris - Either another Peasants' Revolt and else or overly effusive harvest festival that has gotten slightly out of hand... it is sometimes difficult to tell the difference in that part of the world;
    • Ran - Goldshirian separatist rebellion;
    • Demonsfall - the Vigiles Arcani stationed in the region have fallen prey to daemonic influences. They may or may not be attempting to open a portal to hell, just for jollies.
(Once the game is underway - i.e. the changes notified to the MCS and accepted, regions under no overall control will be fair game to Shirekeep and any of the vultures to takeover, provided that they can show their workings.)

I thought the whole idea with the vulture states was to not need underused forums. Your call, but I think a wiki article would be more useful and less time intensive (and less demoralising if it doesn't take off).

Depends how common. If individual vultures intend to use forum activity to sustain their claims from an MCS perspective, sharing the same board with eight other nations won't be of help. A Bastion-within-Bastion would work though; individual subforums within the same top-tier board...

The rest of today, and possibly also tomorrow, is canceled in Yardistan due to real life reminding me that it exists. Thursdays already don't exist.

    • Shirekeep (generally, but with signfiicant opposition here and there)
    • Ran (patches here and there)

Just in case anyone needs clarification:
Tellia
  • Capital: Romero
  • Polity: Confederation
  • Ruling Body: Tellian Transitional Government
  • Ideologies:
    • Pan-Tellian nationalism
    • Federalism
    • Conservatism
    • Pacifism
  • Parties: Dormant; coalition governing - aiming to restore former known parties
  • Defence Force: Tellian Military Forces (formerly associated with the Doppicomando and Cedrocomando in the Tellian condominiums)
  • Territories claimed, and under full control:
    • Tellian Confederation (existing, independent)
    • Mandate of Tellia (majority thereof; former, Shirerithian)
  • Territories claimed, and under partial control:
    • Malarboria (very southern limits; Tellian control follows pre-Shirerithian borders)
  • Territories claimed, without control:
    • Malarboria (eastern expanses; beyond control of the Confederation, but historically Tellian land - think ROC's mainland claims)
  • Strengths:
    • Current independence
    • Claims only majority-Tellian lands
    • No direct disputes with fellow vultures
  • Weaknesses:
    • Small stronghold territories
    • Multiple exclave cities
    • Potential violation of agreements with the IRS regarding Mandate?
  • Relations:
    • Shirekeep: Frayed due to annexation of Mandate, but few worries of repercussion
    • Sanilla and Amarra: Cordial, agreements regarding cooperation and shared resources
    • Black Legions: Warily neutral. No direct threat despite close proximity; no existing collaboration
    • Yardistan: Positive. Similar intentions for respective peoples, overlapping maritime access?
    • Other vultures: Too far away to worry about; primary focus on internal Tellian stability
    • All other Micras nations: No change; ranging from mutual friendship to sheer impartiality

Sanama update

OOC: First of all, everyone else can also call it Sanama, not just me. It's not the formal name, but it's easier than "Sanilla and Amarra".

IC: SALAD is working to consolidate control over the former county of Amarr, southwest Lachmodan and the isles. The claim over southern Highpass persists and focus will be shifted in that direction when complete control has been established. The leadership is looking to appoint a border commission to negotiate a permanent border settlement with Tellia, Yardistan and Drak-Modan. They are also considering sending a delegation to the Regent in Shirekeep to secure recognition of independence. Elections have been put on hold while military actions are still ongoing. Pockets of Shirekeep loyalists are being rooted out.
