Or, to be a bit more clear: I want some kind of centralized resource of different Shirithian (and why not non-Shirithian for that matter) ethnicities or otherwise distinguishable population groups - where they live, what kind of names they tend to have, and what they tend to look like. Links to existing such resources are appreciated, of course.

For my part:

- Straylighters (of course I consider Straylight to still be around - not all the sancts left) don't really have a genetic identity as such, since people tend to move in and out of the sancts a lot. Those who *do* want to specifically identify as Straylighters do often come up with names for their children with a local quirk. One thematic way you could come up with a Straylighter's name is to just look at a list of programming language names and pick something that's name-like but obscure (both as a programming language and as a person's name). Good ones from that list, in alphabetical order: Bubble, Cedar, Céu, Cybil, Espire, Forsythe, Golo, Jolie, Kanren, Kojo, Qore, Slip, Tynker.

- Caverden also doesn't have a particularly strong common ethnic identity - no wonder it doesn't even exist as a county anymore! However, every now and then you might come across a Citadelite emigrant, with their engineered adaptations for life in the polluted, dense underground city - short stature, smooth but thick pale skin with little hair, big nose. Caverdenians don't see any particular reason to name themselves differently from Brookshirithian tradition, whatever that is.

For Suthergold (Ric, correct me if this is outdated now): Sutherathasians- descended from nomads and tribal assassins. Ryker used them to seed Sutehrgolds three major population centers (Underwall, C.R., and Kingsgate). Slightly dark skin, occasionally vibrant green or yellow eyes. Their naming system is a bit odd. First name is whatever, surname takes the first part of the mother's surname and the second part of the father's (ex. M=Sanglana, F=Everstone, Child=Sangstone). They can be found all over northern Goldshire but mainly in those three cities. Other than that, mostly other Goldshirean peoples and descendants of Elw refugees.

For Lunaris: The original Lunatics lost about half their population in the civil war. The current generation is a bit broken down from the whole thing, especially since it followed what was essentially the exact opposite of a renaissance. The younger generation is hardened from the years of bloodshed and are beginning to look to the old ways for a sense of direction. During the Elwynese occupation, many a bastard was born as well, so there is essentially a marginalized sub-generation of blonde bastard children as well.

Hoennese Realm

In Hoenn, humans and pokemon peacefully exist. Indeed, in the Hoennese Realm, certain species of humanoid and psychic pokemon enjoy legal personhood. Among the current officeholders of Hoenn's Eight Ministries, there are an alakazam, a machamp, a gardevoir, and a medicham.

The naming systems of the various sapient pokemon have not yet been determined, but that of humans is as Japan: Surname Givenname, sometimes (especially in noble cases) separated with the genitive particle の no. Most commonly, each name will be two kanji and four moræ long, although some given names are instead one kanji and three moræ.

Much about Hoenn persists from the days of old, and as such the late Anthony Bryant's SengokuDaimyo.com is an excellent resource.

Hoenn Island

Hoenn proper is somewhat as real-world Japan, especially the isle of Kyūshū.

Yamato people are the dominant human ethnicity, followed, in no real order, by Draconids, whites, Filipinos, and Southeast Asians.

The most common surnames, in no particular order, are Tanaka, Nakamura, Inoue, Koga, Yamamoto, Matsuo, Nakajima, Yamaguchi, Matsumoto, Murakami, Sakamoto, Sato, Goto, Watanabe, Ono, Kawano, Kuroki, Kai, Hidaka, Yamashita, Maeda, and Higashi.

The most common given names, in no particular order, are Riku, Kaito, & Tōma for boys; and Hana, Yui, & Aoi for girls.

Iyo

Iyo is somewhat as real-world Japan, especially the isle of Shikoku.

Yamato people are the dominant human ethnicity, followed, in no real order, by whites, Filipinos, and Southeast Asians.

The most common surnames, in no particular order, are Sato, Yoshida, Kondo, Mori, Tanaka, Onishi, Yamashita, Takahashi, Yamamoto, Murakami, Ochi, Watanabe, Yamazaki, Komatsu, and Hamada.

The most common given names, in no particular order, are Haruto, Asahi, & Sora for boys; and Himari, Akari, & Kanna for girls.

Tamna

Tamna is somewhat as real-life Korea, especially the island of Jeju.

Koreans are the dominant human ethnicity, followed, in no real order, by Yamato, whites, Filipinos, and Southeast Asians.

Korean naming customs are observed as well as Japanese ones.

The most common surnames, in no particular order, are Gim, Yi, Park, Jeong, and Choe.

The most common given names, in no particular order, are Minjun, Seojun, & Hajun for boys; and Seoyun, Seoyeon, & Jiu for girls.

Ryukyu Islands

The Ryukyu Islands are somewhat as their real-life namesake. However, in Hoenn's alternate Earth, they are a province of Hoenn.

Yamato people are the dominant human ethnicity, followed, in no real order, by Han, whites, Filipinos, and Southeast Asians.

Chinese and indigenous naming customs are observed in the Ryukyus as well as Japanese ones.

The most common surnames, in no particular order, are Higa, Kinjo, Oshiro, Miyagi, Aragaki, Wang, Li, Zhang, Liu, and Chen.
