The Emperor needs to approve your application officially, but don't let that stop you getting in and doing stuff. An RP post to introduce your character to Gralus would be an excellent start.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave. But he does deserve a cool war ribbon.

However, this account still manages:
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn - Speaker of Nelaga, Minister of Interior Affairs, and a Micron

You're having allegiances to Babkha, Shireroth and Safiria. Better make sure you keep to those tri-cit regulations in Shireroth and that you receive proper dispension :)

A citizen, no, but you are a subject of Babkha according to Babkhan law. As you know, Shireroth acknowledges Babkhan nationality law in its judicial enforcements (See for example Loki v IR). Thus, it is the Babkhan concept of allegiance that is enforced in Shireroth by precedent and not the Shirerithian one.

Except members of Category E are not recognised as sentient and, therefore, cannot rightly swear allegiance.

Category E subjects are sentient. If you read the Court order and subsequent legal documents, the term "the sentient being Assieh Ifai" is used all the time. I am sorry, Mr Miller, but Ifai holds allegiance to the Crown of Babkha and to her lord, Agha Zand Gozâr. Any renunciation of such allegiances would have to be made in accordance with Babkhan law.

Ah, my bad.

But no-one ever definitively stated that Assieh Ifai and CJ Miller are one and the same, for, indeed, they are not.

As far as things like Tri-Cits and the like are concerned, it always goes by the real person, not the character.

You don't have to be a citizen of Gralus to contribute around here.

Shirithian law refers to citizenship, not subject-hood. Go for it CJ, no problems in Shireroth.

I will see if I can get Bayen over here to formalize it.

Your Niftiness,
Dutch Miller,

May I point to the Imperial Code of Law, particilarly its tenth chapter, section B and subsection 1 which reads:
ICOL-X-B-1 wrote:Citizens of Shireroth are allowed only three national allegiances [highlight inserted by me] including Shireroth. When applying for citizenship, an individual must have two or less citizenship, else they will be denied citizenship.
While I realize that the Kaiser is above this Law in his actions, the Kaiser binds not himself nor his successors. I would recommend Dutch Miller to merely seek a waiver for the tri-cit regulations in accordance with His Niftiness's Imperial Decree 4L2. Such waiver is accomplished by a decree of His Niftiness's hand or by an Act of Landsraad.

Further legal advice may be sought from my office.

Yours sincerely

Dear Dr. Krumsson,

As I noted before, Shirithian law does not address subjecthood. National allegiances are voluntary. By Babkhan law, perhaps the individual could be carted off and experimented upon, that most certainly cannot be considered allegiance or voluntary.

To the contrary, all such was expressly refuted by the individual.

Where is your office, Doctor? We must have tea and mango jam some time soon.

Well, Imperially speaking, consider yourself offered citizenship. You can accept or reject the offer whenever you like (i.e. when they've sorted out this tri-cit mess).

In Shireroth, a Kaiseral approval is now all that is needed to hold 3, 4, 5, or however many citizenships you want in micro-nationalism. :)

That said, CJ, while the Gralan Empire is a great nation and important Ally, one hopes you do not spread yourself out too thin!
