I move that this House ratify the Treaty of Peace, Friendship, Trade and Cooperation between the Imperial Republic of Shireroth and the Kingdom of Krasnocoria.
In the last week of this year, I led a delegation to Grandbay to negotiate a settlement of peace with Krasnocoria. Our two countries have not had diplomatic relations since the War of Lost Brothers broke out in 1653.
After three days of negotiations, our delegations reached an agreement, Treaty of Peace, Friendship, Trade and Cooperation between the Imperial Republic of Shireroth and the Kingdom of Krasnocoria. It is our fervent hope that the Landsraad, supported by the Adelsraad and Folksraad, will ratify it.
Treaty of Peace, Friendship, Trade and Cooperation between the Imperial Republic of Shireroth and the Kingdom of Krasnocoria
1. A state of peace, friendship and cooperation prevails between the Imperial Republic of Shireroth and the Kingdom of Krasnocoria, and between their respective governments and peoples.
2. The Parties recognize that the responsibility for the war between them lies with the Florian Republic, and to that end, they commit never to allow the Florian Republic military capabilities again, in accordance with the Treaty of Peace between the Member States of the Union of States around the Sovereign Oceans and the Florian Republic and between the Imperial Republic of Shireroth and the Florian Republic.
3. Each Party recognizes the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Other, and the Parties shall not interfere with each others’ internal affairs. The Convention of the Micras Treaty Organization on the Low of the Seas shall govern the maritime jurisdiction of the Parties.
4. The Parties shall cooperate with one another on matters of national and international security, of infrastructure and judicial correction, of cultural, academic and scientific exchanges, of aviation and maritime access, and of sport and the health of the people.
5. The Parties shall establish in each others’ capital an embassy with extraterritoriality and whose senior staff shall have diplomatic immunity in accordance with the law of the nations.
6. The Parties shall lower trade tariffs between them so that import tariffs and export tariffs will be the same in both countries.
7. Each Party shall allow nationals of the other visa-free access for 72 days to its ports of entry for reasons of tourism, diplomacy, and business.
8. The Parties recognize each other’s documents in civil and criminal law. A Party shall extradite the national of the other if that national is charged with a crime in a court of law in the territory of the other Party. A court of law in the territory of one Party shall enforce contracts from the other Party if relevant and legal for the first Party.
In witness whereof, the duly authorized plenipotentiaries of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth and the Kingdom of Krasnocoria have signed this Treaty.
