First off, if I am kind enough to refer to you as the Count Melang then you will do me the decency of addressing me as a superior noble.

You have accused the Imperial Government of Alexandria of creating a tax on profits at the rate of 70%. You know as well as I do that the current proposed 70% tax rate is proposed on income. You wll further know that income is different from profit. You will know even further that that proposed tax will apply to citizens, not companies like CWG.

Your Excellency Duke Balârak Âlaion,

You are correct in that the proposed 70% tax is not on profits, but rather on income.

However, a word substitution mistake that does not help my argument (a 70% tax
on income is more severe than a tax on just profits alone) is not unethical.

I do not see in your above post where you describe anything
that was unethical. Until you can demonstrate how my statements
were 'unethical', I can only assume, Your Excellency, until you provide
evidence supporting that assertion, that you made the assertion
without evidence.

Sincerely,

Giles Melang

If it may please the Court, please allow me to briefly respond to a claim made by Count Melang:

It's not a 70% tax on income that Alexandria's governing party is proposing. It's a laddered system where tax on the income portion above IE1,000,000 is 70%. Overall, works out to an effective tax rate of 40% for those earning IE1,000,000 per year, and that tax rate doesn't increase exponentially for those above that threshold. Please learn math and stop spreading false information about the Alexandrian tax proposal through the microsphere. It's getting annoying.

You have presented false information to the Court and used it as evidence of a point. In doing so you have mislead the court. As a result that is a breach of ethics.

If you are just arguing at this point can we move it elsewhere? I think I've made it clear that this court hasno jurisdiction over this matter, and even if it did....
