Lord Arbiter,

The Judex is the only of the three branches of the Federal Government which does not have a coat of arms. For that reason I hereby present you with a coat of arms for the Judex. I will also create a seal for the Judex in the coming days.

In the post below you may find the explanation of the coat of arms.
Fjǫrleif Llængjarla of the Houses of Ayreon-Kalirion and of the Descendants of Freyja
High Priestess of the Mackerel Temple
Princess of Elwynn
Princess of Anun
Countess of Northshire, of Arietta, and of the Lady Esther Isles

The Crown

The crown represents the Imperial Crown of Shireroth.

The Shield Supporters

The shield supporters represent Doctor and Spangle, the supporters one can also find in the Imperial Arms of Shireroth and the Arms of the Landsraad.

The Quarters of the Shield

The first quarter displays the Scales of Justice, which is one of the most ancient symbols associated with the law as well as one of the most familiar. They symbolize the impartial deliberation - or "weighing" - of two sides in a legal dispute, the balance of the individual against the needs of society, and a fair balance between interests of one individual and those of another.

In the second quarter is Lady Justice with her blindfold beneath two cherubs holding a crown above her head.

The blindfold represents Blind Justice, equality of the parties before the Judex and knowing no differences in the parties involved. The cherubs with the crown above Lady Justice symbolize that justice in Shireroth is dispensed by the gods through the Judex.

In the third quarter one can find three Scrolls of Law. Scroll are a symbol which recall the ancient nature of written law, representing learning, written knowledge, judgments, the passing of time and the extent of life.

The three Scrolls also symbolize the three sources of Imperial Law: Kaiseral Decrees, Landsraad Law, and Case Law issued by the Judex.
In the fourth quarter is the Sword of Justice. It is a symbol of power, protection, authority, vigilance and might. The Sword of Justice also represents the power of Reason and Justice, which may be wielded either for or against any party. It serves as a reminder of the necessity of real punishment, the power of the law, and ultimately, the power over life and death.

The Compartment

The compartment represents Shireroth’s flourishing lands.

The Motto

The motto "Aequitas Iudicia Tua Domine" means "Your judgments are justice, Lord" in Latin.
