THE SENATE OF ELWYNN
deeply disturbed with the propaganda attacks from Jingdao targetting Elwynn and the Elwynnese people in horrible ways;
alarmed by the deteriorating state of relationship between Elwynn and Jingdao and noting with concern steps taken by the Empress of Jingdao to have her empire annexed to the Imperial Republic, a power with which Elwynn is in a state of dispute;
deploring the condemnation to death of Elijah Ayreon, Prince of Elwynn, by the Empress of Jingdao;
deeply concerned with the armed conflict between Jingdao and Babkha off the coast of Barbarije;
convinced in most absolute terms that it is impossible for Elwynn to remain in an alliance, indeed, in a state of diplomatic relations, with the Jingdaoese state or its empress,
recalling the Article Seven of the
Raspur Pact Protocol, the alliance between Elwynn and Babkha, Natopia, Ocia and Jingdao, enabling Elwynn to immediately and unilaterally leave said alliance;
fully believing that the alliances with Babkha and Natopia are of utmost importance to the Elwynnese People and the Union;
therefore resolves:
1. that the Elwynnese Union, invoking Article Seven of the Protocol on the Raspur Pact (done at Raspur on 27 Oscaltec 10DA), unilaterally leaves the alliance effective immediately;
2. that the Union determines that the obligations of the Elwynnese Union to the other treaty party under the
Articles of Friendship with the Kingdom of Babkha, done at Raspur on 19 Fasmas 10DA, shall also extend, for as long as mutually agreed, to the Dominion of Natopia;
3. to direct the Court of the Prince to inform the governments of the Empire of Jingdao and South Batavia, the Ocian Federation, the Dominion of Natopia and the Imperial State of the Kingdom of Babkha of this decision of the Senate and the Elwynnese Union.
