Preparedness Drills

1. All Natopian Defense Force formations reporting to Land Command within the operational area of Tapfer Theatre Command are instructed to begin immediate preparation for deployment in line with Operational Plan Nest Well for the conduct of preparedness drills within 48 hours, as directed by Land Command, which shall be of 1 week's duration.

Concerning the Establishment of a Defence in Depth on Western Tapfer

1. The Tapferite Army of Vengeance and the Rapid Reaction Force are hereby mobilised for a domestic operation (OPERATION CUCKOO NEST) under the auspices of Land Command.
2. The purpose of OPERATION CUCKOO NEST shall be to establish two defensive lines of mutually supporting forward operating bases as indicated.
3. The Rapid Reaction Force shall deploy to the cities of
   • Brunopolis
   • Cape Cran
   • Koningursbyur
   within 12 Norton days and establish secure forward operation bases.
4. The Rapid Reaction Force shall establish contact with logistical support regiments garrisoned in Opeaeghia and Uppland within 24 Norton days.
5. The IV "Dominus" Division is to deploy its armoured and area defence brigade, supported by three regiments of infantry, to the Western (Blue) Phase Line in Opeaeghia and Uppland within 24 Norton days.
6. The III "Rostam" Division is to deploy its armoured and area defence brigade, supported by three regiments of infantry, to the Western (Blue) Phase Line in Transegale within 24 Norton days.
7. The I "Asara" Division is to deploy its armoured and area defence brigade to secure West Bay within 24 Norton days.
8. Logistics regiments garrisoned in Opaeghia and Uppland are to immediately, upon receipt of this order, to secure defensive perimeters around established facilities. Within 24 Norton days airports and landing strips within 50 km of garrison locations are to be identified, secured, and made ready to receive high volumes of air cargo and passenger traffic.
9. Measures to seize airports and the aircraft on them will be organised directly between the Aerospace Command and Land Command. Other possibilities (e.g. airborne operations) are to be exploited.
10. Coastal Command and Naval Command may offer such support to Land Command as it may require in order to
11. The time which will elapse between the receipt of orders for the operation and the forward movement of troops will be kept as short as possible. Individual formations and units may be moved up now, so long as the purpose of this movement is not obvious.
12. Infantry Regiments of I "Asara" III "Rostam" and IV "Dominus" Divisions will move up to the Western (Blue) Phase Line within 60 Norton days and commence construction of company level forward operating bases at positions indicated, assigned as deemed appropriate by Land Command.
13. Auxiliary Construction Units, raised by Land Command, shall assemble in Opeaeghia and Uppland within 100 Norton days to commence construction of Thalassa-Mehlville (Yellow) Phase Line installations within 200 Norton days.
14. Demesne Defence Forces may be mobilised and directed, within their respective jurisdictions, at the discretion of Land Command.
15. All fortification work is to be concluded within 300 Norton days.
16. Officers of the Imperial Natopian Constabulary shall be assigned to all deployed regiments to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
