[Exhibition] Dingo & Company: Jewelers of Kings

Post by Asara »

Dingo & Company, a small subsidiary of Dingo Enterprises, has had the distinct pleasure of designing and maintaining the Empire's Crown Jewels, the State Crown, the Fleur-de-Natopie Scepter, and the Sword of Sovereignty. Dingo & Company has also created seversl crowns and several medals used today in Natopia. The Empire Library Art Museum is proud to present these approved and authorized recreations produced by Dingo & Company and given to the Museum's permanent collection. Placard information is for the original piece.

Scepter with the Fleur-de-Natopie, 2005 (c. 1506 AN)
Platinum, emeralds, sapphires, amethysts

The scepter is topped by the fleur-de-natopie, a floral motif created for the Crown and Scepter. It is based off of an indigenous flower that grows around Vista de Nada Palace. It is the symbol of the monarchy's right to rule the State.

The Scepter is now used as an emblem for the Chancellor and appears on the Office of the Chancellor's Coat of Arms.

Sword of Sovereignty, 2005 (c. 1506 AN)
Platinum handle and guard, steel blade, emeralds, sapphires, amethysts

The sword is used during the induction ceremonies of knights. The blade is kept sharp, demonstrating the trust of the inductee toward the monarch. It is a stylized translation of the Cross of Sovereignty, each arm of the cross is extended as the guards, handles, and blade. It is the symbol of the monarchy's duty to protect the Nation. The steel blade is believed to be from Nett Opaegh's sword mentioned in the Opaeghied. Dingo & Company's official response is that they produced the hilt to hold a steel blade provided to them by the client.

The Scepter is now used as symbol for justice and appears on the Supreme Court's Coat of Arms.
