Reconciliation efforts with Jingdao

Post by DES Senya »

Following on from the recent football match between the Jingdaoese and Senyan national teams held in Daocheng, the governments of both Jingdao and Senya have shown a desire to normalise relations between the Apollonian neighbours.

The Senyan government sees it vital to ensure we have a good working relationship with our Southern neighbours and that we can work together on shared interests, notably our long border. Although we re-opened the border last year, there still remain few border posts for travellers to cross, there is virtually no trade, and there are no infrastructure links between our countries.

We want to ensure the Senyan people of our priorities in these negotiations;
1) To ensure a peaceful, working relationship between our governments.
2) Working towards a working border between our two countries, including demarcating the Comoleo River and Lake Lamantia borders.
3) Ensuring the land border is functional, opening up new border points.
4) Establishing infrastructure links, including ferry services across the river and the establishment of a Svorgas-Daocheng railway.
5) Re-affirmation of the rights of the River Warrior tribe in North-Western Jingdao.

We feel it important to communicate with our population about the nature of our relationship with our neighbours, and encourage the exploitation of opportunity created by the increase of positive relations between our governments.
