Money
The Kaiser is proposing to award Lichbrook 14108 erb.
It has always been my policy to refuse offers of money from the Imperial Government, for two reasons. Firstly, Lichbrook's post-capitalist society is unlikely to put it to good use, so it feels wrong to divert it from better causes. Secondly, by accepting erb, we are effectively signing up to the wider economy, with all that this entails.
So...I have two questions for you:
1. Do you think Lichbrook should accept some or all of the money?
2. Would any of you like a share of the money and if so, would you be likely to use it?

Re: Money
The concept of currency is not unknown to us, Majesty, but we find nutrients and carbohydrates to be more relevant means of exchange.
(OOC:
1. I have, for quite some time now, more or less given up on the idea of micronational economies as anything but a decorative background element. I'm not particularly eager to see Lichbrook pulled into an economy either, if it poses requirements of use on us.
2. As might be guessed from the above answer, I wouldn't really be interested in getting a share of the money. I think I still have some in the bank as it is, but I haven't even looked at it in years; all I'm likely to do with it is transfer it to someone else.)

Re: Money
Thank you for the feedback.
It doesn't sound like there's much enthusiasm here for taking the money. One solution is to ask the Kaiser to transfer an appropriate share to Ari and Benkern directly (assuming they want it) as that way, Lichbrook is kept out of it. Another possibility is to ask for Lichbrook's share to be donated to another venture, in the way that Goldshire transferred its funds to Neridia.

Re: Money
Yes, indeed.
Having considered the matter, I propose that Lichbrook's share be transferred to the Worthy Causes Fund (WCF), a not-for-profit NGO established to bankroll...worthy causes. That way, the Kaiser achieves his goal of disbursing Shireroth's money, we have a mechanism to help Shirerithians who might actually use the money and Lichbrook stays out of it. If Ari or Benkern want a share, the WCF can supply it.
Everyone wins.

If the SCUE economy ever actually gets going, I hope it will be deemed acceptable for me to request some of that money for Musica, which as a historic mercantile centre I can't imagine embracing post-capitalism.

Re: Money
Certainly. Your "share" of the money allocated to Lichbrook works out at 1763.5 erb so you could have that now, if you wanted.
