Post by Raz » Sun Jan 19, 2020 3:20 pm

DICTATE BY THE COUNCIL OF DRIFTWOOD
Providing law to the land and the people of the Alriggian Republic.

Accepted on the nineteenth day of the first month of the two-thousand and twentieth year of our Lord. Being the 1680th year of the New Common Calendar.

The Council of Driftwood makes known that it has decided to recognize the right to free speech within the borders of the Alriggian Republic. No man or woman shall be prosecuted for anything he or she says, as long as it does not conflict with the long-established norms of our society and our religion. Free speech can also not be used to create unnecessary unrest in society, defame the position of dignitaries or people of good standing, or be used to damage the relation Alrig has with its allies. In all these cases, the Council of Driftwood reserves the right to prosecute.

Accepted by the necessary majority of the council, as presided by and under the witness of

President Luo Dai of the Alriggian Republic

It's good to see that the people of this land now enjoy the same freedoms as their Jingdaoese brothers and sisters.
