Halueve Hall, also known as Sysselmanshǫll, is the seat of the Palatine King of Uppland. Sitting atop a wooded rocky promontory called Achranthoul Rock, Halueve Hall is situated just outside the Royal City of Konungursbýur, the capital of the Marcher Kingdom.
The Hall is named after its founder Jarl Sigtyr Thordursson of the House of Halueve, the first Valtian Sysselman of the Upplandish Marches. Jarl Sigtyr built a ringfort on the peak of Achranthoul Rock, which over time was replaced by a succession of castles and fortresses. Each new construction expanded upon the natural defenses through the addition of walls, gates, and watchtowers. Halueve Hall is rife with tunnels, dungeons, storerooms, barracks, halls, stables, stairways, courtyards, balconies, and gardens. It boasts the largest non-temple Godsgroves of Natopia. Halueve Hall has never fallen to neither siege nor storm. The term "Halueve Hall" has from the year 1633 onwards often been used as a metonym for the Palatine King's Private Cabinet.
The present Sysselmanshǫll was built during the tenure of Jarl Hilmar Njálsson of the House of Karsstaoir as Sysselman of the Upplandish Marches, which took place at the height of the Valtian Empire. Few changes have ever since been made to the Hall's layout and exterior. One of the most notable exceptions is Halueve Hall's roof, which nowadays is tiled blue in lieu of red in honour of the House of Ettlingar Freyu, a Konungstekja gift from the Upplandish population to its King. From the year 1633 onwards the stronghold has undergone several major renovations and upgrades.
Subsequent to the death in captivity of Birger Hlidbergsson of the House of Ar Merer, Duke of Uppland during its short-lived independence posterior to the destruction of Valtia, a secretive knightly order called the Knights of the Rock, also known as the Klippriddare as well as the Klipporden, took possession of Halueve Hall. The Knights of the Rock remained in control of Halueve Hall through the whole of the Age of Darkness as well as the Second the Viking Age till the year 1633 when the stronghold was given to King Noah after his election to the Marcher Throne by the Kjósathing. The knightly order kept Halueve Hall in good repair and their presence kept the lands surrounding the stronghold, including Jarl Sigtyr's Town, relatively safe in spite of the area being part of The Green until the Upplandish Marches became part of the Caprine Country in the year 1620. After the election of King Noah to the Marcher Thone the Knights of the Rock were incorporated in the Fleur de Lys-Longships Guard, where they presently serve as the Palatine King's personal bodyguard.
As Achranthoul Rock contains large Elf-carved canals and caverns which are connected to Halueve Hall, the aforesaid wooded rocky promontory is since times ancient beyond the memory of woman deemed to be part of Halueve Hall. Containing a fabled bounty of precious metals and gem stones, some deposits untouched to this very day, Achranthoul Rock has been mined for thousands of years and as a consequence there are hundreds of mineshafts to be found in its depths. Sysselmanshǫll's inner port, Havararshavn, is situated in such a cavern. It has docks, wharves, and shipyards and is accessible by longships, freighters and various other (sizable) vessels.
