Government rubbishs claims of breaking the peace treaty

Post by sick39ed »

In shock statement announced by the International High Commission in the Florian Republic. The Florian government denies that the peace treaty set out by the commision has been broken. In a statement by the Natopian member of the commission, it stated that 'the Florian Republic has begun arming its security personnel in a flagrant violation of its obligations under its peace treaty.' A spokesman on behalf of Morgan Sharp, interim President stated the following."Today we deny any allegations of breaking the peace treaty set out by the International High Commission in the Florian Republic. We have NOT begun arming our security personnel as we are fully aware it would break the treaty and it would be impossible as the Security Forces are somewhat underfunded at this current moment in time. The Government will ALLOW a check on our forces. Finally, the issue of our railways was always going to cause controversy. Our railways are chronically inadequate with many passengers preferring to use private railways which are becoming more crowded. Investment in our railways is desperately needed otherwise they will be more chaos than there currently is."
