Dear whomever it may concern, my name is Charles Ross. I am the current Foreign Minister of the Tsardom of Phokland. We are a micras/antarctic based online community referred to more commonly as a "micronation". We have existed since 2007 and are primarily focused on diplomatic simulation and self expression. We have a fully functioning government and attempt to maintain close diplomatic relations with several states around the micronational world.

I am reaching out to you today in the hopes that formal diplomatic relations may be established between you and Phokland. My nation has a strong wish to be able to possibly enter into a trade/diplomatic relationship that I believe would be beneficial for both of our nations

Naturally, there is much more to our nation then I have described and any further information that you may wish to look at can be found...

I hope to here back from you soon.

Thank you,

HIM Charles A. Ross

Dear the Foreign minister of Phokland
We are delighted to see that you want to open foreign relations with the Florian Republic. However, we are deeply concerned about your nations recent application to the USSO. Because of this, we refuse to open relations who are/wish to be members of the organisation. The USSO has been stealing majority of the profit that the Florian Republic has made ever since the end of the War of Lost Brothers. To this day the USSO aligned trade markets are still trying to steal our profits through the so called 'Florian Coast Company', by pirates stealing resources in the ports of Port Farrar. If Phokland join the USSO, they will automatically join these toxic trade markets and you will benefit from Florian profit, which do not accept. So unfortunately we politely decline to open foreign relations with your nation. The only way to open relations at this stage in time is to withdraw from applying to the USSO.

We hope you understand
James Maddison (Head of foreign relations)

It seems the Florian government is incapable (not very surprising) to see the difference between the several factions: several Union states have already confirmed that they do not support any kind of piracy. Saying anything else is not only a grave lie, but also contradicts your own government: on private channels (aka Discord) your president himself confirmed that he didn't want to involve the Union in this matter. Nonetheless, you are doing exactly that: by blaming our organisation for something it didn't commit, you will involve us into your own little problems.

Trying to keep nations from joining our Union, which has in the past only been profitable for any involved member state, clearly shows that your nation is not ready for foreign diplomacy. I'm asking myself if you're trying to provoke us? If so, I advise against it.

After the comments made this morning. The Florian Senate apologises for any of the comments which have offended any USSO members.

The Constancian Embassy has issued the following statement:
There is no need for a formal apology - the repudiation of Bassarid piracy by the USSO was only obtained by international protests such as those led by the Florian Republic, it is sufficient to issue an amending statement clarifying that the USSO member states have subsequently provided assurances that they are not colluding with the Bassarid investors.

It's only the nations partaking of the economy system fuelling the aggression that needed to take precautions to distance themselves from the phenomenon of Bassarid piracy.

The Florian Coast Company is selling its wares openly and unopposed on the USSO Common Market via the Port of Vines, that could still be taken to amount to collusion and profiteering from piracy by participants in the USSO economy if any participating company were to purchase stolen Florian goods.

No Union state should feel obligated to repudiate anything it has nothing to do with, simply on your alleged weak claim. I'm sure that the Florian authorities are more than capable to protect their own ships when time comes, and if not - and any goods would end up on our market - an agreement could be reached.

Besides, nobody in this room needs a lesson in morals from a representative of a group of nations that is behind handing out weapons like candy in an effort to destabilise world peace. Just like you attempt to create further conflict in this matter, when it is not necessary. The Florians have apologised, which is sufficient in my eyes. There's no need for you to interfere and create problems where there are none.

I wish the minister success in dealing with the menace. Goodbye, sirs. :sherlock:
