The First Battle Fleet and Third Battle Fleet have left the secret naval base in Maraguo and are moving through the mist banks, towards the occupied Tapferian territories.
Fights have broken out on Penguin Island between the Alexandrian garrison and freedom fighters. Several radar stations and airbases have been neutralized through the use of heavy explosives.

Paratroopers have successfully taken undefended bridgeheads at the northern coast. The first transport ships arrive, totalling around 10,000 soldiers. Bringing the total forces on the island to 11,000.
The Alexandrian command has been warned for the impending invasion and has mobilised all its troops on the island, totalling a number around1,500.
The first real fights between Jingdaoese and Alexandrians bring the death toll to 50 for the Jingdaoese and 24 for the Alexandrians.
Villagers in the north welcome their liberators with extreme joy.

Isabella Kalirion wrote:Following reports of a concerted incursion by the Jingdaoese First Fleet, operating out of the Calbion occupied islands of Maraguo, the Alexandrian Forces deployed in theatre are ordered onto high alert. They were however caught off guard by a coordinated series of partisan attacks against their base facilities, including attacks on storage depots, munition stockpiles and radar sites.
Salvos of harpoon missiles have been launched against identified non-friendly surface vessels, whether Calbion or Jing, including suspected transport vessels and large capital ships. The 3rd Frigate Flotilla has been ordered to move in shore to commence shelling of the enemy landing zones on Penguin Island. Whilst the 2nd Marine Division has been instructed to move towards the landing zones and to suppress all resistance, including suspected partisans amongst the local population. The Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied de la Garde has been authorised to use Shirerithian supplied mustard gas shells in an effort to suppress the initial invasion force and constrict it to the landing zones.
The 2nd Submarine Flotilla and the 2nd Cruiser Flotilla have been ordered to scour the seas and to establish contact with the main Jingdaoese battle fleet.
The Sxiro-Natopian Task Force 92 and assets from the Natopian Aerospace Command are inbound.

Re: Operation Hydra
Increased naval activity in the region worried the Jingdaoese Headquarters. The attack, ordered by the new cabinet, was meant as a swift surprise attack.
The surprise had, in the first instance, been a successful one: the partisans had taken up sufficient of the Alexandrians' attention and resources. The low number of radar systems and air defence batteries (as most material had still been awaiting transport to the island) had made it relatively easy to launch the attacks and establish beachheads.
However, the HQ was well aware that the attack had - until now - been so successful thanks to the lack of Alexandrian effort to actually prepare it against an attack, and not because of the genius of the strategic officers.
The Raven IV, ready for take off.
By now, 22 Raven of the 1st Xi Naval Division had been lost. 78 remained to maintain air superiority.
Then the most troublesome news arrived. The HLS Transingel was reported to have been hit by a torpedo of the 2nd Submarine Flotilla.
With over 100,000 soldiers awaiting to be shipped from Maraguo and other Calbain Isles, the HQ stood for an important decision: immediately send in the reinforcement, with the danger of them getting trapped in sea, or wait till the island was liberated. This, however, could prove dangerous if the Alexandrians brought in reinforcements (or if the numbers till now had been wrong).
