What the...
What the...
I came back from my yearly holiday and it seems someone broke my little toy (Jingdao). Anyone willing to give me a summary before I explode from anger?
Important characters:
Frederik Alfons des Vinandy-Paravel, King of Batavia
Joseph Bartholomeus des Vinandy-Windsor, Prince-Regent of Batavia
Jin San, Diwang of Jingdao, Duke of Kildare

So, while Jingdao seems to be at war, its allies are unaware?Craitman wrote:I wish I knew enough to be able to surmise

Well, I've watched on as a number of nations began waging war against Jingdao despite there being no concrete evidence in regards to the purported events described by Rasmus; normally a sign that things aren't particularly straight-forward

I hate it when people start deleting or hiding posts. Makes things so much more confusing (at least I placed Jingdao back on the forum).Craitman wrote:Well, I've watched on as a number of nations began waging war against Jingdao despite there being no concrete evidence in regards to the purported events described by Rasmus; normally a sign that things aren't particularly straight-forward

People did things, Rasmus did other things. He also deleted a post of mine that contained a rather nice pun, which I would argue is the real tragedy here - though because it was in response to something Giles said, which was also deleted, I suppose I understand the thought process.

(In the interests of posterity and vanity, it had gone something like this:Vilhelm Benkern wrote:Won't someone please think of the puns?!
Rasmus: -Post about someone named Hu Lang contentedly watching civilians get killed-
Giles: -Post clarifying that Hu Lang was no relation to the Llaings-
Me: Don't worry, I think we all know who is Hu. (Or similar wording.))

Welcome back Jonas. You will find your Empire has suffered much.
As for the actions of both sides, "All is far in love and war" (John Lyly).
I think the turning point and the start of Jingdao's fall was the execution
of Admiral Shinjong. That was the point of no return.
Now, unfortunately, Jingdao is the "black sheep" of the USSO family.
I support relocating Policon HQ to Gerenia or Craitland until Jingdao proves
its stability. This is just because we cannot have our HQ in what is essentially
Shirerithian territory.
I support partial negotiations with AlexNatShire too, just with the angle of
preserving as much as we can; specifically, to ensure that a wide district surrounding
Apollo City, any of the Mahapur/Aryasht territories, and the Eastern Islands remain
under the control of the Heavenly Light's monasteries.
(My words are personal opinions submitted to the Policon and do not reflect
the view of Craitland or the Craitish foreign ministry.)

Funny to see the Shireriths giving loyalty oaths like seals clapping their fins for tasty treats
Of course this too means Cedris, criticized for requiring such by a now gone 'old guard' which included Erik, was in fact ahead of his time.

The Shireriths as you call them are serious people. They would not 'clap their fins for tasty treats' as you say. Sure, every once and a while they might do something puerile and stupid, but don't we all?
And few people other than Jacobus were fans of Cedris. As we all know, it's just a popularity contest anyway.

Young Wil, before you take my place as head of EGE and Scion of the Laing family, you must first understand that as a part of our general strategy for sustainment and continuation we must keep close track of micronational events. Historically Shireroth has always been the center of the absurd on Micras. Therefore you should know that they would, in fact, clap their fins for tasty treats. They would would step into dark grey seal suits, zip them up, and flap their fingerliss fins as Zir Niftiness distributes to them, one by one, and in quantities determined by the boisterous of their individual seal-claps, trout, salmon, and, yea, fish of all varieties harvested from the great northern Elwynnese fisheries. They would then subsequently balance inflatable red bouncy balls on their noses and waddle around to Zir's amusement. It would only end when Zir himself steps into a brown walrus suit and says "coo-coo-ca-choo." As for Cedris, Cedris tried to bring order to the absurdity and that was his demise. Although considering he lasted a month, an age in Shirerith time, he was moderately successful as far as Zir's go. I hope this explanation is enough. --Thad
