Welcome to Natopia - Introduction

Post by Nathan »

Hello and welcome to Natopia. This Welcome Center hopes to familiarize guests and potential citizens with our nation and introduce you to some basic cultural and political tenets of Natopia.

Government: Officially, the Emperor is the sovereign of the country and can make laws at his pleasure. However, the people have a directly democratic legislature known as the Frenzy. Everyone is able to vote and debate and propose any law they want. Political parties are allowed. Executive administration is handled by two Ministries; Silly Walks for foreign affairs and Serious Business for internal affairs among other areas.

Culture: Natopia is a very laid back place. Our national animal is the goat, we obsess over offering bagels and juice at every opportunity, we are ruthless in our rivalries (currently have none, they all died), take pride in our space program, and have a fanatical devotion to the Butter Bull. Our lands are divided into regions called demesnes. These are areas for specific cultural development. If you see a vacant demesne, ask to be appointed its ruler and develop a culture of your own or build on its traditional culture. If there are no vacant demesnes, ask around for someone needing help and you can build one of the most influential demesnes as well as establish regional voting blocs in the Frenzy. Each board has a general description of its history and traditional culture if one wishes to build off it. http://bastionunion.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=173

We hope you take the time to look around and ask questions, either here or anywhere on the forum. We love visitors and will love you even more if you decide to stay and help build one of the most unique and developed cultures on Micras.
