As per the Guiding and Governing Law of the Nation, only Knights of the Most Holy Order of the Armored Goat may serve in most high government positions. While citizenship still exists as defined by specific laws, knighthood is required for advancing in the government. One need only to take this Oath, or affirmation:

You will become a Knight of the Armored Goats upon the Grand Master or Sergeant-Steward accepting it.

A successful applicant for the Order demonstrates assertiveness, is decisive and well-informed. The burden of defending the Nation is a sacred one, one that can only be entrusted to certain persons. Why would a militant, fanatical, fundamentalist, religious Order welcome in to their ranks someone who blatantly advertises themselves as UNorthodox?

If you have no preference for a position here, and no specifically useful skills, then how can we be assured of your passion, interest, and competence in your knightly duties?
