Disbanding of SciIntOrg

Post by Yulodion E'nothwocep »

SciIntOrg's Board hereby unanimously votes to disband this organization.

Ergonia's SCUE accounts are to be closed and the Ergonian Archives
moved to the incinerator.
Correction: Ergonia's Treasury and SCUE accounts will be maintained by The Ergonian
Historical Preservation Society, under the control of Thadeus Lange Jr.

And a side note:

There are recent reports groups in annexed lands of Hamland are using the
Ergonian flag and calling themselves Ergonians.

We have no connection whatsoever with
these groups and have given them no approval whatsoever to use the flag or
call themselves Ergonia.

Signed,

Yraite Ergonak, Chairperson
Roberto Melanje, Secretary

I'm not speaking on behalf of Hamland here, but unless you can provide even a shred of evidence, this claim is recklessly unfounded. Even if there is something to it, which there isn't, this is pretty much the worst possible way of addressing it. The people of Hamland are - when active and available - very reasonable and friendly. You should know this, having worked with them on projects in the past.

Monsieur Kind,

Hello and greetings. Thank you for your visit. Please
rest assured that I meant no offense to the people of Hamland.
That said, I was reading the Micras Wiki the other day, and
I noticed the following article, added October 5, after Thadeus' most
recent return:

http://micras.org/wiki/index.php?title= ... Spy_Agency

Also I noticed this article:

http://micras.org/wiki/index.php?title=Jogi

I do not say, Monsieur Kind, that these imitators should not or could
not use the flag or call themselves Ergonia.

After all, an ancient Arkoness, Sophia, did once say that a
little piece of Ergonia lives on in the hearts of all Micrans. :)

I merely said that the former members of the Ergonian
Governing Council, that is me, Thadeus, Kelly Kupliva,
and others, the Melanjes, etc. did not give our approval.
Therefore, if someone goes out and say do x, y, or z, that
is bad in the name of Ergonia, we are not responsible for
the consequences, and completely disavow now any connection.

No Worries,

Yraite

Mr Ergonak,

It is a shame to hear this outcome for the SciIntOrg given the positivity in its future beforehand.

On the case of Ergonia's gripe with the aforementioned articles on MicrasWiki, please distinguish that the Maritime Markets of the Strait of Haifa and Hamland are two separate, unrelated nations, and any confusing of their respective claims and/or usage of Ergonian names could spell even more discord than originally intended.

1. The Maritime Markets are not even remotely Hammish. This would be clear if you even scrolled all the way to the bottom of either page that you linked to, or if you even simply looked at the map. It is its own independent nation, with no cultural or historical ties to Hamland in any way shape or form. It demonstrates a lack of respect on several levels that you would not even bother to do the basic research before levying charges against Hamland. You may have meant no offense, but you have still behaved disrespectfully.

2. The company in question has existed since August 2nd, well before your most recent return. See the page's log: http://micras.org/wiki/index.php?title= ... on=history

3. I'm pretty sure that before your post, no one here even knew of the existence of the company in question. It is a tiny company based in a tiny nation, which has no real bearing on any nation based outside of the Strait of Haifa. Your post has drawn more attention than the Ergonian Spy Agency would have received on their own. It now enjoys a greater prospect for growth than ever before, thanks to you and your government.

Monsieur Kind,

The Maritime Markets are not Hammish. His Highness
has already pointed it out, and I thank you for pointing
it out again. I understand.

All is well. Including the change date. I see that now. Thanks. :)

Cheers,

Yraite
