Restoration of Government

Post by Ira Altain »

Following our victory and subsequent restoration of services and government to all parts of Brettania, Governor Ira Altain and His Lordship Benjamin Rivers have announced that the government of the Commonwealth has been restored. The Palace of Westminster, also known as Kennestone Palace, has been reoccupied by the executive government and cabinet. In the meantime, Parliament has also been reopened and local MPs asked to return to their offices so that the legislature can resume its normal business. Deliberations are still being held in order to nominate and appoint a successor to the High Court.

With the transfer of the military and civilian population of Mountbatten to the Brettish Isles, the group has officially settled in the northern portion of Dartmoor, occupying part of Hampshire as well, between the cities of Travistock and Aldershot, in a relatively rural area that was deemed acceptable for colonization. The new arrivals have taken to called the region Mountbrettan (as a combination of Mountbatten and Brettania) and will receive designation as a lordship once boundaries are fully surveyed.

A very pleasant development, we have been awaiting Brettish restoration for quite some time now. Good job, old chap.
