A Memorandum of Understanding Giving Rise to a Contract between the Maritime Free Republic and the Holy Grand Empire of Jingdao

On the occasion that His Divine Majesty Mordechai, Emperor of Jingdao, and His Excellency Walter Poldark, Captain-General of the Maritime Free Republic, having met and assured each other of the soundness and validity of their respective credentials, the Maritime Free Republic and Jingdao, hereafter referred to as the Parties, agree to contract as follows:

1. That for the duration of this agreement, the Parties will not hinder or harm each others vessels, crews and captains, operating on the seas and oceans of Micras, nor will the Parties trespass into each others territorial waters and territory.

2. That for the duration of this agreement, the ships of the Maritime Free Republic shall be allowed to make use of the seaports of the Holy Grand Empire of Jingdao, in order to bring any goods they carry on the market, paying a tariff of 10% of the value of the goods to the Jingdaoese customs service.

3. That for the duration of this agreement, in order to establish the value of the goods, the customs service of the Holy Grand Empire may inspect the goods, but may not inquire to their origin, nor may the captain and crew of the ships of the Maritime Free Republic inform the Jingdaoese customs service of this.

4. That for the duration of this agreement, the crews and captains of the ships of the Maritime Free Republic may seek refuge from third parties in the seaports of the Holy Grand Empire, on the condition that they bring the goods they carry on board onto the market of that seaport, according to the stipulations of Article 3 of this memorandum and that they leave within fourteen days.

5. The Holy Grand Empire of Jingdao shall not share information on the where-abouts or the departure date of crews, captains and ships of the Maritime Free Republic located in their territorial waters or seaports with third parties.

6. That this agreement will come to an end, seven days after one of the Parties has informed the other party of their intention to end this agreement.

On the occasion that the representatives of His Imperial Majesty Henry IV, Emperor of all the Alexandrians, Emperor of San Martin, King of Luthoria, Leifgrad-Baden, Ibelin, and all the Alexandrian Realms, etc, and His Excellency Walter Poldark, Captain-General of the Maritime Free Republic, having met and assured each other of the soundness and validity of their respective credentials, the Maritime Free Republic and the Empire of the Alexandrians, hereafter referred to as the Parties, agree to contract as follows:

1. That the Maritime Free Republic is to furnish the true government of the Empire of the Alexandrians with the Fleet of Liberation [], to assist in the removal of the removal of the False Carillo Usurper, descended from the line of the Bastard Charles of Artoix, comprised of the following warships; the Capital Ships 'Bucentaure', 'Algesiras', 'Mont-Blanc', 'Santisima' 'Trinidad', 'Principe de Arras' & the 'Santa Anna', the Frigates or Corvettes 'Indomptable', 'Intrepide', 'Argonaute', 'Roi Henri', 'Roi Charles V le Bon & the 'Comte Valéry de Carvajal'.
1.1. The Maritime Free Republic will also provide, for a period of 25 days, such U-Boats, Auxiliary Vessels and Patrol Boats as it may possess and as the true government of the Empire of the Alexandrians requires, for the mission of the Fleet of Liberation to be fulfilled.

2. Upon the happy occasion of the restoration of His Imperial Majesty to the throne of his ancestors, the Emperor shall grant the Maritime Free Republic the lease of the City and Port of Corcovado for a period of ninety-nine years, in return for the services rendered.

3. For the duration of this agreement, the Parties will not hinder or harm each others vessels, crews and captains, operating on the seas and oceans of Micras, nor will the Parties trespass into each others territorial waters and territory.

4. That this agreement will come to an end, seven days after one of the Parties has informed the other party of their intention to end this agreement.

5. Any person found using the word 'zir' in lieu of 'the' in everyday conversation may be summarily executed by either of the Parties without recourse to the benefit of a trial or of clergy.
