Around 3:15AM, an explosion was heard in the city center of Demonsfall. Fire crews were able to contain most of it, however the east wing of Drakland Manor was destroyed. The east wing contained the residences of the Count. No one knew if the count was even in Ynnraile until the morning news confirmed that Kyle Kilynn had been in the Manor that night in preparation for attending the High Council meeting. He was announced dead, and the cause of the explosion was determined to the Emberbark, which was found under the Count's pillow. It was unclear if it was accidentally set off by the Count or through some other means. It would would be passed on to Kyle's son after a throughout investigation by the Vigiles Arcani, who told reporters that they wanted to question Kizzy Drakland, the previous owner and creator of the Emberbark on what she knew of the incident.

Kyle Kilynn of Waffel-Paine
Duke of New Dracoheim, Count-Elector in the Most Serene Union, Count of Ynnraile
