ROYAL DECREE (6209)

ON THE CREATION OF PEERAGE

Know that We, Mibaradardam be Khorshid va Mah Minamaz dadanam Zurvan, have in the first place granted to Zurvan this Decree which by his Kharenah is confirmed for us and our heirs forever.

We, Noor bint Daniyal Umra Suleiman Ayreon-Kalirion ibn al-Majeed bin Sathrati af Ettlingum Freyu, Queen of Goldshire and of Leng, Queen of Elwynn, Amokolia and Uppland, Emira of Sathrati, Alalehazamin and Utasia, Imperial Princess of Shireroth, Imperial Chieftainess and Jarla of the Longships Islands, Princess of Natopia, Arietta and Mishalan, Duchess of Froyalan, Northshire and the Lady Esther Isles, Marchioness of Zy-Rodun, Baroness of the Fórntida Kærleikalanden, Opplysta Smørvirket and the Elw, Countess of Cape Farewell, Old Araxion, Old Cimmeria, Ancient Wintergleam, Elsenar and Storborg, Countess Shishin, Jarla and Grand Electress of Jorvik, Jarla of Bernicia, Mayoress of Eliria, Baroness of Running Bull, Lady Imperial on all Continents, Wardeness of the Flower of the North, Royal Consort of the Blood-Unifier of the Jewel of Many Facets, Lady of the Holy Lakes, Scion of the King of Kings, seeing that:
  • 1. Our Lord Husband, King Noah of Goldshire, King of Elwynn, Amokolia, Uppland, and Leng, The Count of Elsenar, has given Us the advice that Our Children ought to have Titles of Nobility of their own, irrespective of the administrative Nobility of the Land,

    2. Such Peerage may be used to award members of the community of high esteem,
Do therefore make known that:
  1. A system of peerage in the Kingdom is instituted, which is different from that of the administrative nobility.
  2. The peerage shall recognise the following titles:
    • 1. Qaisar (Qaisar Banu)
      2. Shâh (Shâhbanu)
      3. Emir (Emira)
      4. Khan (Khanum)
      5. Shahzade Bey (Shahzade Begum)
      6. Sahibzade Bey (Shahzade Begum)
      7. Nawab Bey (Nawab Begum)
  3. The Queen may only create peers of ranks 4 and lower.
  4. A person in marriage with someone of the peerage may, on the Queen’s consent, use the same title with the following provisions:
    1. if the person holding the title in his right is male, and the spouse is female, the equivalent feminine equivalent,
    2. if the person holding the title in his right is male, and the spouse is male, the same title with the suffix Damat,
    3. if the person holding the title is female, and the spouse is female, the equivalent same title with the suffix Damat.
    4. if the person holding the title is female, and the spouse is male, the equivalent male title with the suffix Damat.
    5. If the title-holder’s title includes the suffix Bey or Begum, this suffix shall in the case of a spousal Damat title be ignored (for example, the husband of a Shahzade Begum is a Shahzade Damat).
    6. The child of a title-holder of rank 4 and below shall be awarded the courtesy title (for life) of the rank most immediate below the parent, for the child of rank 7 the title Bey or Begum.
    7. Any title, without using the territorial holding, may be used in the name of an individual holding a title. For Sahibzade Bey and Nawab Bey, only the first of the compound ought to be used in the name.
    8. It is permissible for a male title-holder to use his title without the suffix Bey.
  5. In the administrative nobility of the Realm, the ranks of the titles are equivalent thus: Nawab Bey is equivalent to Count, and Sahibzade Bey is equivalent to Duke.
  6. Ranks 6 and 7 are therefore noble titles. Ranks 2 (King, Queen) and 4 (Royal Prince) are royal, and ranks 1 (Kaiser, Emperor) and 3 (Imperial Prince) are imperial.
  7. Any Count or Duke in the Realm, or any nobleman or royal person resident in the Kingdom, may upon a petition to the Queen have their nobility or royalty translated to the peerage of Goldshire.
  8. The rules of succession to the Emirate of Sathrati shall, as translated to each peerage, govern the succession to that peerage.
  9. Appointed hereby are my children:
