The Court of Star Chamber
of the Court of the King's Bench

The Presiding Justices
  • Instructing Justice & His Riverine Majesty’s Advocate: Aqa Daniyal Dravot, Arandur of Alalehzamin & Utasia and Holder of Various Titles
Petition No. 1 of 1652

Petition
The notified death of Vihjalm Kormak, diplomat (retired), aged 83, in Raikoth during the 14th month of this year. The Corps of the Gentlemen-at-Cudgels petitioned the court for a verdict of a lawful death.

Procedure
The proceedings were held in camera and remain under official seal.

Verdict

It has been shown to the court that Sir Vilhjalm Kormak of the House of Bjarngeir, Knight of the Holy Lakes, Jarl of Borgarrike, former High Justiciar of Stormark, Chairman of the Congregation of Hurmudans, Leader of the Elwynnese king's religious education, having resided in Tala (Raikoth) for the purposes of undergoing a period of spiritual retreat and introspection, succumbed to multiple organ failure arising from the spread of sepsis which developed from an infection and inflamation of his right-eye.

Being satisfied of the particulars I am content, in the name of His Riverine Majesty, to record that the deceased died as a result of natural causes. Accordingly there is no requirement for a full autopsy and I do hereby release his body to the public authorities for the conduct of proper funerary rites and cremation.
