Before the Speaker could close the vote, the two guards who had earlier thrown him to the floor, grabbed him and quickly speeded out of the Senate hall. Armin tried to utter some protests but his shouts were soon muffled by the thick walls of the Palace.

The Princess of Elwynn turned to the Senators:

Senators, I came here to show you how terribly this House is functioning. Long debates make sure that nothing really happens as soon as it should. People who have nothing to do with governing the Elwynnese Republic, such as the King of Goldshire, who this house has somehow seen fit to elect as member. Even one of the bravest people I know, the Queen Mother, is stifled in her actions by the idea that somehow only a vote in this House legitimises actions. I say now, enough with it. Go on with your discussions and votes, I will go on with ruling Elwynn.

Without so much as a second glance at the chamber, Eki turned around and left the room, followed by her guards.

After a momentary expression of irritation, the Imperial Mother, still clutching the knife she had been proffered, trailed out of the Senate chamber, following the Princess and the guards who were dragging the captive President along behind them.
