Ric was mistaken, Countess Layla didn't intoduce the Florint but it was introduced by Iron Company merchants. The Florint started out as a private exchange currency used by the Company to create an easy way to compare local currencies. Because there wasn't really an official currency in Crowslifer, many of the tradesman/women of the county began to use the Florint as well.

The exchange rate for a Silver Florint to the Erb is 3.5:1. One Golden Florint has 17.5 times the value of a Silver Florint.

An interesting conundrum. Economy mostly running on trade of goods. Will be difficult to introduce the concept of a fiat currency. Paper is foreign to these lands. We might make it out as something valuable. Please send money supply as soon as possible. It's nigh-on payday for the regulars.

A chartered Coastal Command flying boat carrying 250,000,000 freshly printed Erb notes (various denominations) has been dispatched from New Harbor, and you may expect its arrival presently at Hjartahom within the next day or so.

You have complete discretion as to the expenditure of these monies, subject to appropriate record keeping and oversight which we leave in your hands as we have every confidence in your probity.

Should that confidence prove misplaced, we have placed a bond with certain individuals who would, in that eventuality, be engaged to ascertain your whereabouts and obtain an adequate recompense after the fashion of Shylock.
