Life in the River Warriors' AR

Some time had passed since the war. The River Warriors' was getting back to normal. The farmers were out ploughing their fields, clogging up the back roads with their tractors, whilst in the city of Mahuti, office workers tried pushing their hour lunch breaks into two. The city was once again humming with excitement. And so it should be.

The River Warriors' was unveiling a statue honouring those who had lost their lives fighting for freedom. Ana Rayman, the new mayor of Mahuti, grinned fruitlessly as she tore down the cloth to display a statue of some soldiers holding up the Confederation's flag. The crowds gathered around Rayman as she spoke, waving River Warrior and Confederation flags.

The smiles were not fakes. The people loved the Confederation. The Caudillo was almost revered as much as God, and they practically named every important road in the city after him. Infront of the local parliament building, a statue of him rose 10ft high for all around to see.

Life for the citizens was improving. A large amount of immigration from Nessus and Aryasht had seen the community diversify. Finally, sewage systems had been installed and roads had been tarmacked. The local airport had seen an upgrade, whilst house prices had tripled in the last three months.

All was well, all was rosy, and five giant flags, of the Confederation, the River Warriors, the Republic, Aryasht and Nessus rose high above the city.

*A soldier of the Legion starts shouting.*

"Citizens of the River Warrior's AR! Let us not stop working towards a bright future! What we have built here with our own hands could easily be taken away again by enemies from abroad! Be careful for the Senyans who are jealous of your riches! Be aware of the glares of the Shirerithians who watch our every step, waiting till we are weak enough to steal away what is rightfully ours! Join the armed forces! Join the Defence Forces and keep your country and family safe!"
