The Eastern Plains

The frozen desert of the Eastern Plains is a desert by virtue of receiving no rain. It is dry, yes, but hot like other deserts - not at all. During the day it is generally below 0, and at night it has been known to get down to negative 40, especially when the wind comes from the south. It is uninhabited and inhospitable.
